makes sure dust free from your power supply. but does sound like you going to have to buy a new power supply., not really any way to test power supply, you may only have enough power to spin the fun on the cpu, turn on some light but not enough to start up the computer system or even boot up. you buy one 18.00 to 25.00 look for deals of the day where shipping free. have in a few days

I am looking for a new power supply for a HP 762n. HP no longer stocks. Havent found a reseller that carries it.

You may actually be able to use a standard ATX power supply in this computer, rather than worry about getting the original one. It would depend on whether the power supply connector on the motherboard is a standard or custom one. HP used custom designs in some models but not in others. The HP parts site lists only a complete replacement computer for this model, and I haven't seen one in ages so I don't remember. If you know someone who has a spare supply, you can check. But if you want to buy the original, this site claims to have them available. I don't know anything about them; it was just a Google search result.

Power Supply for HP Media Center m1270 PC

Are you sure it's the power supply?

Most modern power supply units are of the ATX type. Brand should not matter. Your PC used a 300 watt power supply when new. You can purchase a power supply with more output (watts) if you like, but not less. You will have to purchase from a computer specialty store most likely - take the dead one in and compare it side by side with the new one before buying.

Hp cpus power supply green light constantly blinking

As always verify all cords are plugged in properly. After that it sounds like you power supply went out. It is not that hard to replace. Make sure you unplug power cord. After you remove the pc cover, Usually you just need to unscrew 4 screws for the power supply. Somewhere on the power supply it should say how much watts it is. Anywhere from 200 watts and up. Just replace with exact wattage.

Hp pavillion m7640n has no power

It could be a power supply, but it could be a number of other hardware components too. A new power supply is less than $50, you can get them at Best Buy or Any computer place can install it for you. I suggest you take it somewhere to make sure the power supply is the problem.

Failed power suply for HP

You can also get a PSU with that connector. I don't remember where it plugs in on your model, but if you were using it before, I would not buy a PSU without it.

Also, since you are replacing it, go on up to 550 to 650 watts.
