Aiptek dual mode camera intallation

Normally if you just connect the pc camera to your computer , it should start to install the needed drivers automatically ... try that to see if it works (if you cant find it , it will be in my computer) if not : if it doesnt , insert a cd that you recieved with it and install programs from it
if cd is not included : go online and search you make and model drivers and download then install the needed driver (drivers are like softwares tht is needed to run your camera )

Using the PC Camera Function
1. Installing the AF Cam driver
You need to install the AF Cam driver before using PC Camera
or video conferencing function.
* If you have already installed the AF Cam driver, skip step 1. "Installing the AF Cam driver" and go to step 2. "Connecting your camera to your computer".

2. Connecting your camera to your computer
2.1 Turn on your computer
2.2 Set Mode dial on your camera to
2.3 Insert the USB cable to the USB port on your computer
2.4 Insert the other end of the USB cable to the USB port on your camera.

* Then you can see the camera as removable disk. You can transfer the pictures from your camera to your computer like transfering files from one folder to another.

1. Go to camera folder
2. Select the file/pictures you want to transfer then right click and choose move option (if you want the files to be moved on your computer) then choose the desired target folder or drive.

*you can just copy the files form the camera to your computer too.
select the files that you want to copy then right click, choose copy then paste on the desired folder or drive.

Yes you can. Here's what worked for me.

First disconnect your camera.

Software
Uninstall your existing software.
Download new software from http://www.goaiptek.com/drivers/driverfiles/minixp_1.5.zip Unzip.
Install the new software but DO NOT CONNECT THE CAMERA UNTIL INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE.

Camera
Remove any batteries.
Set switch to 'On'
Set Mode to Video
When software installation is complete, plug in camera to PC with USB cable supplied.
Run installed program on PC. The Mega camera screen will appear. Click on 'Live'. Your camera picture should appear on the screen.

You may have to run the .exe files to install the actual driver(s)

Plug unit into computer (USB), open LCD screen of unit, depress "video" button, when prompted on camera LCD, select "live."

Aiptek website has ALL of the drivers for their products for downloading.

are you sure you need to install anything to move pictures to your computer?

Often you just connect, go to my computer and open the folder 'removable drive'?
