Remove fuel tank, replace pump.

disconnect power supply to fuel pump, then start engine when engine stalls fuel pressure released

fuel filter should be in front of left rear wheel. before changing be sure to relieve fuel pressure. if you take out the relay or fuse to fuel pump, then just start engine until it dies out. that will relieve the pressure in the lines. if in doubt go to any auto parts store and they should be able to tell you where it is. have a good day !! there is also a relief valve on top of engine for relieving the pressure.

Before you begin the job of replacing your fuel filter, you must relieve the pressure in your fuel system. A fuel injection system operates under very high pressure. If you don't release this pressure before you start unscrewing fuel lines the result can be explosive. Do this before you attempt to change the fuel filter.
To release the pressure in your fuel lines (and fuel filter) you'll need to locate the fuel pump fuse in the fuse box. If you don't have a fuel pump fuse, find the relay that operates the fuel pump. Once you've found the fuel pump fuse or relay, start the car. With the engine running, pull the fuse or relay out. If you pulled the right one, the engine will quickly die. Since it's using all of the pressurized fuel in the system, the fuel lines won't be pressurized when you crack the fittings on your fuel filter.
Now that you've relieved the fuel pressure you can remove the old fuel filter.
If you didn't do this yet, you must go to the previous step and do it. Very dangerous!

yes it's under pressure can can do it by starting the car pull the fuel pump fuse and allow it to die try and restart the car a couple times with the fuse removed after that the pressure should be relieved. if you have a fuel pressure gauge you can do it by connecting it to the strader valve and relieving it that way also

Yes, always open vent on top to relieve pressure. Squeeze lock ring on both sides and turn counterclockwise. Remove ring and top half of filter should pull up and off.

Pull out the fuel pump relay and start the engine, let it run till it goes dead. fuel pressure relieved!

You know when you go to put petrol in and you take the petrol cap off, and you hear it **** in air for a split second, You just relieved the fuel line pressure. :)
