All of a sudden my computer says the black print cartridge is not compatible with my printer.  I have been using this cartridge with no problem for months.  I removed the cartridge and replaced it but nothing changed.  I tried deleting and reinstalling the printer but the problem persists.  There is also an "E" in the place where the number of copies is supposed to be indicated.

I'm having the same problem - I've recently started getting "cartridge is incompatible" message and flashing error light regularly. Sometime, I can remove and reinstall the cartridge, and the printer will work for a while.

Does anybody have any suggestions more helpful than "go to Kinko's"?

printer does not print with new cartridge. Keeps saying there's nothing there, or to check it again....

I just got this printer from a friend and bought new ink. It worked fine for a day and now the check cartridge light is blinking and there's an E where the number of copies should be..........hmm.........it is slightly comforting to know I am not the only one having this problem but a solution would be even better :)

Am I Number 6 with this SAME printer problem? No paper jams, print cartridges move freely but I still get the Big "E" where the number of copies should be. I hate being added and have to wait in a cue. Come on! What is wrong with this printer ... I've had this problem before and was able to fix it but I don't remember how and/or whatever it was that I did doesn't work.

Mid way thru printing a document, the printing stopped and an orange light has started flashing saying "Check Printer Cartridge". What can I do?

when such information comes, you most likely exhausted the ink in the printer, you will open the printer remove the ink cartridge and have it replaced,

Getting error on printer

Take out the cartridges and Perform a partial reset on the printer.

  1. Unplug the power cord from the unit.
  2. Reconnect the power cord into the unit.
  3. When the lights begin to flash, press and hold the On/Resume and Paper Size buttons.
  4. When only the On/Resume light is flashing, release the buttons. When the On/Resume light is steady, the reset is complete.
  5. Insert the cartridges and try the print job again to see if this step resolved the issue.

Keep getting 10.00.03 supplies error, have tried turning the machine off and on several times.

10.00.03 - The printer cannot read or write to the yellow print cartridge memory tag.

Solution:

Turn the printer off and then back on again.

If error returns, remove all print cartridges and turn off the printer.

Cold reset the printer:

Turn on the printer.

Watch the control panel.

When the memory starts counting, press and hold the green (Select) button.

Continue holding the green check button until the Ready, Data, and Attention lights flash once, and then stay on steady.

Release the check button when the Ready, Data, and Attention light are on steady.

The control panel will display SELECT LANGUAGE.

Press (Down Arrow) button once. The control panel will display COLD RESET.

Press (Select). The printer will perform a cold reset and then continue its power-on sequence.

Wait for the printer prompt to install each print cartridge.
This should return the machine to operating condition. If you still get the error, replace the yellow print cartridge.

HP Photosmart 7450 stuck cartridge

not a solution, my paper feeds past the point where printer5.gif would normally begin. Then flashing light changes from green to red and print operation stops. Printer cartridge1.gif appears to be stuck in far right area of cartridge track.

Replaced drivers as above and still have the same problem.
Mine started after I had replaced the color cartridge. Mailed the old one to HP already so can't put in old cartridge.

If I unplug printer from computer, I get same results. Does the driver software install in the printer?

HP PSC 1210 Not Printing

Hi My first quesiton to you would be: What version of windows are you using. If you are using Windows Vista you will need to go to the HP Site and download the new updated drivers for the new OS. Second Question : Are you using genuine HP printer catriges? If so make sure the contact point where the catrigr and the printer meet are clean and free of dust. Try re seating the cartriges and re calibrating th printer. I checked with HP online tech support and they backed me on this. If you have any more trouble feel free to email me : hartmansp@inbox.com Have a great day.
