The printer makes a knocking noise and does not ptint

The printer makes a knocking noise, the red "paper" light stays on and does not print.

Try changing the toner cartridge.
If you are useing refill cartridges and the roller starts to cease
up, the printer still trys to drive it and causes all sorts of problems.The worst thing that can happen is that the drive
gear inside the printer shatters and you will be unable to remove
the drum & toner consumables.
