Question about Sony KP-57WS500 57" Rear Projection Television
Power on...green light comes on with curved lines across it. The red and blue lights come on for about five seconds but then goes out while the green continue to gets brighter and then the tv shuts off after a toatal of ten seconds since power first urned on. Standby light keeps flashing.
Minium is the green picture tube need to be replaced, if you can take the front cover and access panel off there is a control with 3 focus and screen controls.
you can adjust the 3 screen controls to possibly get a little more time out of it before the crt's need to be replaced. careful if you turn them down too much there will be no picture, and if you turn them too high the tv will go bright and shut off
