bassically you need the drivers for your phone install them off the internet
the simpliest way to do it is to get a manager program for your phone make and it should install the drivers automatically with that
if not try to find the disk you got with your phone
then install everthing on the disk when it asks you to without inserting phone restart the pc
then plug phone in and it should come up with a message saying new device click on the recomended option for scan some thing then it will scan your computer for the driver ytou installed earlier or you can try to find the drivers by seraching the windows update option thing on the new device popup
As far as I am aware when you sync a mobile to pc all you are doing is copying names and addresses and numbers from mobile to pc and vise versa, you are not transfering mp3s or anything else as such, for this you have to use the LG Suite software that came with your mobile or simply drag and drop the files to the sd card that you have in the mobile, obviously you have to be able to use the sd card in a laptop or pc card reader to do this and not the data cable that you use that came with the mobile. The drag and drop method is far easier, well I think so.
There is no setting that i know off that can transfer the SMSes to the storage card.
However, if you are looking to save the smses on your pocketpc, you can use this software called Pocket SMS. This will create a copy of your sms on the computer. Later you can transfer the data to the storage card for safe keeping.
Normally you should not have to install the software any longer. Just plug your Samsung phone into the computer. AFter that the found new hardware wizard should come up or a display on your phone can come up as well depending on your model . It would ask you if you want to connect to the computer or something. After that go to My computer and you should see a new media or storage device there.
I think you asked this before, ill copy and paste the answer from the other one
