Wii not reading mario party 8 games. i have one that i thought was not working so i rented another and it does the same thing?

Have you tried other games? Is the cursor working with other games? If it is not, then check the connection of the receiver of your wii under or over your TV.

Ur problem is the censor bar reset machine controller and unplug bar turn all back on and plug ur bar back in problem solved

Try taking it back to the store and get a new disk.

I think the [roblem comes from game usege and bad care. Another thing could be where you bye the games. The same thing happened to me but I found a solution that will not work with you.

turn on your wii with mario party 8 disk in thje wii click the home button click wii remote setting then click reconnet fallow what the screen tells you with all four players then start mario party 8 if this dose not work then have all the players open the back of there wii remotes open the little slot below the disk place there will be a red button matching the one on the back of the wii remote have each player one at a time move up to the wii click the red button on there wii remote and the red button on the wii at the same time after all the players do this then start mp8. if this dose not work your wii is messed up. P.S (this work almost all the time)

If Wii can be hacked, you can play copied games, you can go to blockbuter get a game, copy the game in computer and make copies at of it, so that you dont have to buy the game. And your wii is able to read the copied games

Well now it will be even harder to downgrade the frimware of you Wii. (Wii doesnt want you to downgarde). Try to upragde it again if that doent work then upgarde it from the Wii's web page at Wii.com

There can be a problem in you Wii's upgardeded frimware.

try resyncing the second wii remote for a second player. By using the red button on the wii and the wii remote. I had this problem when i brought my wii remotes to my friends birthday party to play mario party 8.
