Question about Computers & Internet
My parents HP 8330 lost power yesterday and now it won't reload anything. It was purchased 2 wks ago.
This is ALSO a common problem for people who don't shut down their computers properly - they get away with it 99 out of a 100 times - and then this problem.
Diagnosis: It sounds like the Boot Sector is damaged (if the Computer Hums and Lights up but nothing else happens) and the cure for this is a BootFix (using DOS) or a reinstall (but selecting Repair instead of Install).
This will be done under Warranty so don't mess with it.
Take it back to the store you bought it from, it will still be under warranty. If you do anything to your computer you will void the warranty and thereby be responsible for the cost of any repairs which might have otherwise been covered by the Warranty.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
