I have found out from a repair agent that the fault code means there is no or corrupted communications between the display and motor drive module.
It may be simple as a loose cable, if the washing machine has been moved recently.
In my case I have a very slow little leak in the hot water solinoid (Bad spelling I know) thus causing it to leak on the circuit board and over time rust the connections. Basically my machine was not worth repair as the main circuit board was a tad too expensive. It was still cheaper than a new one (even after all the extra costs were put into consideration, ie - Labor and transport costs) but my machine is 8 years old and I thought for an extra couple of hundred dollars I could get a new one with warranty.
I know there are people out there bagging these machines, but 8 years out of a item (without any servicing) that uses moving parts, electricity and water is pretty good.
Hope this helps?
cheers

Have just bought new fisher and paykel washing machine. Keep getting Fault 105 I need a service. If I turn it on and off again it works, but next time have to turn it on an off again to get rid of the Fault 105.
