Clicking in hard drives basicly.. it comes out from the head going up and then droping down, then going up and droping down.

Id say the harddrive is faulty, would need to be replaced.
I cant say more without actually haveing a look at the drive from here...

Rattle noise

i dont think the hard drive is fixable at this point.the rattle noise you hear is usually the last indicator that your hard drive is going to crash for good. I have had the same problem with a couple of hard drives. the first time I lost everything. the second time I started hearing that noise from a hard drive ,I jumped into action and copied all I could before it finally quit for good. live and learn.

Samsung sp1614c is making a soft clicking noise and is saying disc read error on computer

The clicking noise might be a dirty hard drive with the reader arm skipping across the platters or a bad connection with power trying to make a connection
You might remove the hard drive if possible give it a firm tap to the side to free up the reader arm
Clean your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA
MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty if its a 40 pin ide flat ribbon type it will be the first to fail or just replace it.
Then run the chkdsk disk utility
click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive
or an easier way i have found to run the chkdsk utility
click start click on computer you should see your primary drive usually C: right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes
automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart.
have no input while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may further damage your computers operating system and hard drive.
Hope this helps

Seagate 2 tb external hard drive beeps and clicks

Hard drives are easily damaged when dropped. The clicking noise is known as "The click of death".
This hard drive cannot be fixed. You need a new one.
If you need to recover data from this hard drive, then there are companies that can recover data from faulty hard drives BUT it will cost you an arm and a leg for their services.

My Passport Essential making clicking noise

it might be power or data trying to get a connection make sure all power and data leads are securely attached

if this fails you might have a dirty hard driver with the reader arm skipping across the platters on your hard drive

give the hard drive a firm tap on the side to free up the reader arm you might be able to get it going long enough to slvage your data or it might go for a longer time

or you might use the freeze hard drive

Hi, everyone!!!1 my pro 320 get noising .....what happening///

Is it a clicking noise? Hissing noise? or maybe a grinding noise? A pc can cause many different noises. A clicking noise generally means the hard drive is failing. You'd want to back up your data immediately and get a new drive. Hissing can be a bad fan or CD/DVD drive that needs to be replaced. Grinding noises can also be caused by fan bearings going out. You would need to find out which fan it is, and replace that fan.

hi.
maybe problem is caused by your Power supply.
so i recommend you to do these:
1- remove the main hard drive and only connect "250GB lacie porsche hard drive".
and see is it recognized or not.
2- go to the bios (with pressing "delete key" at start of turning on) and navigate to power center.
then enable power saving mode.

Hard drive dropped, now not working

The beeping/clicking sound usually means your hard drive isnt far from "death."
You should be backing up all your data and yes, you can find people who get info back from hard drives, but this is very expensive.

Harddrive is not recognised by my Mac OSX (10.4.8)

When you reboot and hold down the option key, does the drive show up during that initial process? Is the weird noise more like clicking or more like a high-pitched whirring? If the drive has been damaged on a hardware level (causes too numerous to list... age, power fluctuations, being knocked over or dropped, corrosion, poor workmanship...) and won't show up at all, it is probably now a paperweight. There are a couple of utilities available to troubleshoot disc problems for Macs. The most popular are Disk Warrior and Tech Tool Pro. They can often "see" a disc that Disc Utilities misses, and assist you in copying the data from the drive. This process is important to be cautious with, however, since your drive is making noises it should no longer be considered reliable and the best hope is to retrieve your data and then get a new one or have yours replaced [if it is under warranty].
