i have a jvc everio gz-mg21 camcorder and im having no joy in transfering my files to disc

I have a JVC GZ MG 21 camcoder, the recorder records fine, and can be viewed in the camcoder and thru Tv however, it does not download to my laptop Thoshiba Vista programme. I tried on other computers too. Even the video clips won't play in sequence.
