Question about PC Desktops

I have a canon multipass C555 everything is pluged in as it is supposed to be but printer won't work. The little icon at the bottom of the computer says the printer is running but the printer doesnot go on. I think I probally need an updated verision. I have windows xp. Can you help?

Hi there

sounds like you'll need to uninstall the printer first and install an up to date driver from http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=238&modelid=8000#DownloadDetailAct
then select your OS XP and hopefully that'll solve the problem if not the printer itself must be faulty

double click on the little speaker icon next to the clock at the bottom right corner of the screen and open the "mixer" and see if it is checked or muted, did you load the device driver for your audio device? if no, go to acer web site and get the drivers.

Head phone is installed hedphone works but the mic does not response. please help. my computer is ibm desktop small 6790G11. when connecting mic . I have made every try


go to start go to devices and printers you will see your head phone pluged in computer at bottom screen with yellow mark on it right click it then it will ask you to trouble shot it then it will ask you to fix it.

Not printing from computer, but printer works when I'm just making a copy


goto:

start, control panel, select view classic settings(if you cannot see a printer icon), double click the printer icon, set your current printer as the default from the list. your printer must be plugged into the computer for this to work.

also, depending on the model number, you didn't say, you should download the driver and program package from the website for your model number, if you do not have the disc that came with it anymore. there are drivers you need for everything to function properly.

We had to change the power box on our pc last one started to smoke due to fan dying, after getting everything back working we have no sound except the normal beep. the computer will not recognise a sound...


Speaker (right speaker) wire to GREEN socket. Open your device manager and see if any sound component is registering a splat...yellow ! Is the light on the speaker. Open sound and see that no X is in the mute box. Make sure the volume in turned up on the speaker and the computer. If all that is cool...reinstall the sound drivers for your computer. I don't mean to belittle you but its the little things that are missed can mess you up for hours-and man does it give one a red face. good luck , hope something here helps

I have a MY BOOKS ESSENTIAL EDITION. I can not get it to work. The light doesn't come on or anything. I have a power cord pludge into the wall and the other end is pluged into the my books. Then the USB...

u should beable to go to multipass f 80 on the internet.try going to www.canon.ca/english/softwaredownload,/consumer,,or just go to your browser and type in multipass f80 and look for software downloads..hope that works and helps you out..

I just want to reset everything


if you mean you want to reset everything then i'm going to assume that you want to reformate your pc. And as far as your icons go i'm going to assume that your talking about your My Computer and My Documents icons and if you want thouse on your desk top do the following:

Right click the taskbar and go to properties
Next click the start menu tab
Choose classic start menu and your icons should appear on the desktop

But this is only my assumtion as to what you mean, as Fusiondc said please elaborate a little more so i can help you out with this ;)
