Dudes, please, someone help me! I have a DVD-RV31 Panasonic player, and I'm getting an H02 error. Any help? I saw the ones about unplugging, taking off the back, and cleaning gears, but I'm afraid! Any other suggestions? I tried holding the back skip, pause, and play buttons for 4 seconds, too, to reset the unit, but that didn't work either.

On my DVD-LV50, I was able to re-initialize and fix a different error (error code H05). It might work for you, too.

With no disk in the player, press and hold these buttons for 4 seconds:

  1. Back skip -- [ |<< ]
  2. Pause -- [ || ]
  3. Play -- [ > ]
The screen will go blank, then say "Initialized."

After that, it worked like new.

I hope that helps.

Region error

see the procedure and fix it.God bless you
    • 1 Purchase or borrow an imported DVD. The only real reason to make your DVD player region-free is if you plan on watching imported DVDs.
    • 2 Locate your DVD player's brand name and model number. These can usually be found on the box the DVD player came in, or on a sticker close to the video inputs or on the bottom of the DVD player.
    • 3 Have your remote handy. You will need your remote to enter the input codes into your DVD player.
    • 4 Locate a Web site that can help you with the codes you need for your particular DVD player, since all DVD players have different codes. Try DVD Exploder or Video Help (see Resources below). Both have an extensive list of codes for almost every kind of DVD player manufactured.
    • 5 Enter your brand name and model number when prompted to do so on the Web site. If your particular model number is not available, try searching under the brand name. Sometimes you will be able to find a model number that is close to your DVD player's model number.
    • 6 Enter the codes into your DVD player with your remote. Be sure the DVD player's door is open-almost all codes require the door to be open.
    • 7 Test your imported DVD to see if it works, once you have entered your code into the DVD player.

Panasonic Dvd recorder DMR-E50 is locking up. I get the disk error. I can't record or finalize. When I try to title it won't let me. It's not bad disks, I've tried all of them. If I try to record, it...

Greetings deb2531,

I had the same type of problem with my DMR-H2. Unfortunately it may be something physically wrong with your unit.

I had brought mine in to a BestBuy™service center, and they had to replace a internal part or board.

With the ever dropping costs of home theater DVD Burners it might be time to upgrade in place of repair.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
