Hi there i have a d link system and i would love to know how to lock the wireless part of the system

Simple access router configuration using web browser, typically navigate to http://192.168.1.1 default user name/password are admin/admin. Go to wireless setup and uncheck enable AP check box, you will disable wireless by doing this.

Hi,

In order to find the wireless security page of your D-Link AirPlus DI-524, please follow these setps

1. Open up the internet explorer in the computer in which you are online and clear the address bar and type in the number 192.168.0.1 and hit enter.

2. You will be logged into the D-Link router setup page.

3. Under the SETUP tab, in the left hand side, click on WIRELESS SETTINGS? you will find Wireless security Mode under which you can find the password for the wireless settings.

I set up my d-link dr615 with my pc. Seems fine.

Hi, you need to make sure that the wireless AP is enabled on the setup. Switch your laptop wireless on and see if you can detect the wireless network as available. You now need to click on the the network and click on connect. If your router is configured with WEP/WPA security you will be prompted for the security key. If you don't know what this is you can change it in the router configuration.

New system is seriously messed up

Hi,

Try the following steps :

Update the WLAN drivers,

Reseat the Wireless Card - Physically remove the card from your system and clean with a dry cloth and then install in the system.

Install the Intel drivers for the Wireless.

Update all the drivers.

Wireless internet is not working

Did you use the Restore Disk you got with this Laptop? Also did you select the Option to install the required software for the Wireless system. Also many compaies send a seperate disk for the drivers and a lot of them have very simple Wizards to follow.

Please let me know.

DEll Inspiron 6400 WIreless Adaptor Problem

Hi,
Check if the wireless switch is present or not present.
Manually Enable the Wireless Adapter if present
Check the side of the notebook computer for a sliding switch.
Wireless Switch in the On Position
First you turn off the system flip it upside down then locate the battery and take the battery out and make sure you disconnect the ac adapter,.

Click on this link this will help you to locate the Wireless Mini-Card and try to take it out from the system and reseat it back then turn on your system u will find the sytem will automatically detect the device and will resolve the issue.
