It looks to me is a Name Resolution problem. The problem is with the DNS Server.

  1. Do you have a Firewall or an Antivirus suite Installed? Please let me know in the next comment.
  2. Then you have to check your DNS settings. IF you have use Router to perform DNS resolution, you have to check the Router's Diagnostics. You have to check the DNS server which the router connects. If it is internal, you may be having an IP Address misconfiguration. You can solve it by going to the Network and Internet connections (Control Panel Applet).
  3. Right click the LAN icon and go to Properties and then Double click TCP/IP properties. Check whether you have assigned a DNS automatically. If you know the address of the Local DNS (if you have one), please specify the IP Address of DNS "Manually".
  4. Right click the Icon above mentioned and select "Stats".
  5. Click on "Support" and then "Details".
  6. Check whether the DNS, DHCP (if available) and Default Gateway (your router most probably) are set Properly.
  7. If all the settings are properly assigned, then you have to check your Antivirus suite and its Firewall (or Windows firewall if you have Modified the settings recently). Try Disabling.
  8. If you still receive the error, you have to clear your DNS cache.
  9. Click Start =>Run, type in cmd, press OK.
  10. Type in ipconfig /flushdns and hit Enter.
  11. Then again type ipconfig /registerdns. (You can view DNS Resolver Cache by using ipconfig /displaydns command). Clear your Browser's Cookies as well. You can do that by going to Tools => Internet Options.
  12. If non of these works, you have to try this method.
  13. Click Start =>Run, type in CMD, press OK.
  14. Copy and paste this into the Command prompt:
  15. netsh winsock reset catalog
  16. Press Enter
  17. Then copy and paste this in:
  18. netsh int ip reset reset.log
  19. Press Enter.
  20. When finished restart your computer.

Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): The server could not be found. i keep getting this massage when i try to brows the net

When you type any name, e.g, 'www.google.com', your computer "talks" to a DNS (Domain Name Server), which translates the string 'www.google.com' into at leaset one IP-address:

Addresses: 74.125.155.103, 74.125.155.106, 74.125.155.147, 74.125.155.104, 74.125.155.99, 74.125.155.105
Aliases: www.google.com

If your computer does not have a working Internet connection, it cannot "talk" to the DNS-server.

If you spell the name incorrectly, the DNS-server will report "cannot give you an IP-address".

Contact your Internet Service Provider, to trouble-shoot your Internet connection.

Or, check for a computer-virus on your computer, which could be blocking your attempts to "talk" to the DNS server.

Why does Error 105 (net::err_name_not_resolved): The server could not be found. This webpage is not available. Always happen when i try to open gmail or myspace?

Sites that I have accessed for ages are now not coming up sometimes its say's"the web page is temporarily down or removed' and for more information I get Err 105 etc'. These pages are not down and the address is correct, if I try it a few times it often starts to work. I also may be in a site eg: Daily telegraph or net bank and when I try another page within the site it often comes up 'temporarily unavailable' which is not true again and it usually gives me a reference number. What can I do?

Chrome Error 105

Go into the Tools area, select Options, then in the Privacy section, turn off DNS pre-fetching. Worked well for me.
