Is it a "inf" file?
you can try installing it in device manager using only the device driver...
in device manager, click on the new device which is your printer and right click on it and wait for the wizard to appear to help you install the driver for your printer,
right click on My Computer on the desktop and youll see the device manager there...
or...
go to control panel > system > hardware tab > device manager >
if youve plugged the printer in your computer, youll see here that its marked with a yellow exclamatory mark... right click on it and click update driver...
ok
even if you dont see any .inf file there, one of those files there may be the driver for your printer...
so after updating driver in the device manager, locate the files that youve downloaded and try to install from there... hopefully your printer will be installed.
do you by any chance want me to assist you in installing your printer thru YM or remote assist? i can help you thru this steps...
if you installed your printer...successfully...

Usually answered in minutes!
And how do I do that? When it comes to these sort of things I'm next to lost...
I don't see any with .inf, some have no extensions and others have .sd or .hl
Aha! I found the device manager and the wizard came up. (Finally!) Thank you.
Oh, I didn't realize you could do remote with this service--fantastic! Yes, please!
I'll have to try this later. I have to leave for a previous engagement. Thanks for your help.
Problem solved. I'm ready to roll. Thank you.
