Many reasons. It could be the wrong driver, incompatible hard or software, etc.

Hello, everyone!! i have lenovo ideapad y560 with inbuild tv tuner & also a connector wire to connect dish cable to laptop... but my question is that how do i watch tv on my laptop OR in which...

Hi

TV tuner cards allow you to view programming on a computer system. Although desktop computers allow you to install internal TV tuner cards, laptop systems do not have the available space for internal cards. Because of this, laptop computers have PCI express card slots. This slot allows you to install and remove (at your will) additional hardware, such as TV tuner cards.

  • TV tuner card
  • Driver installation CD
  • Software installation

  1. Locate the PCI express card slot (located on the side of your computer opposite the disc drive). Push in on the protective cover on the slot to unlock it from the case. It pops out slightly, allowing you to remove the card.
  2. Slide in the TV tuner into the PCI express card slot. The card clicks into place and a light blinks on when the card has connected successfully to the laptop computer.
  3. Insert the driver installation CD into the disc drive of the computer. Momentarily a driver installation wizard appears on the screen. Click "Next" on the welcome page, then accept the given license agreement. Choose "Next" two more times, then select "Install" and the drivers from the driver installation CD install onto the computer.
  4. Eject the driver installation CD and insert the software installation CD. This is the program you use to view the connected receiver. As with the driver installation CD, wait for the installation wizard to load up onto the screen. Accept the license agreement, leave the installation name and location blank, then click "Install" to install the software.
  5. Restart the computer. Upon restart the laptop is ready to begin using the TV tuner card.

If you already haven´t installed the driver, I would recommend downloading it from http://www.sabrent.com/drivers/UF6.zip and only then, after a successful install, connect the hardware.

WHEN I TURN MY WINDOWS XP ON IT HAS A BLACK SCREEN WITH WHITE WRITING SAYING, WE APPOLOGIZE FOE THIS INCONVENIENCE, , BUT WINDOWS DID NOT START SUCCESSFULLY. A RECENT HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE CHANGE MIGHT...

Try safe mode.
If that works, there is a card or software that has failed.
Checking the cards is easy, take them out one at a time and restart, for motherboard features, shut them down one at a time.
For software, did you load anything new, even updates, if so remove them.
Mine turned out to be a bad PCI card for a scanner.

WIRELESS CARD FOR LAPTOP

Hi

Your did not provide any info on which card you have or wish to install; USB, PC Card, or internal mini PCI card.

For mini PCI cards, first you have to open up the D600 laptop and install the Hardware (ensure to connect the antenna cables) then power-up and install the software (drivers and utility).

For USB and PC Cards, follow the device manufacture's recommended steps. Generally, for USB devices, the software (drivers and utility) needs to installed first before the hardware is connected.

If you have successfully installed the hardware and software (driver/utility) you can scan, choose and connect to an available wireless access point or wireless ad-hoc setup. This can be done through the wireless manufacture's utility or from Windows Wireless Zero Configuration utility. If you use the manafucature's utility, Windows Wireless Zero Configuration utility will not work; will not scan or list available wireless network.

Check "Dell Connect To A Wireless Network" article

Black screen comes up "windows did not start successfully...." choose from safe mode, safe mode with networking etc Last known Configuration or Start Windows Normally. Computer then tries to...

You should opt Safe Mode:
  • On the black screen just navigate throug up and down arrow keys.
  • Goto Safe Mode and press enter.
  • It will boot your system in safe mode.
If the boot is success full:
  • try to remember any software or hardware you recently installed/change. Then remove/uninstall that software/hardware. Also remove some device driver like Video/Audio driver and make re-start. and try to normal boot. If success then install your audio/video.
If no success then I think its time to re-install your windows.
Please post your feed-back.

Samsung v25 shutdown

hi dear

Do not complete the following procedure unless you are very familiar with internal computer hardware removal and installation. The hardware components in a computer are very sensitive to static electricity. For information about the correct handling of computer components, contact your computer manufacturer. 1. Shut down your computer, and then remove all the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) devices. 2. Restart your computer. • If Windows starts successfully, shut down your computer, and then reinstall the PCI devices one at a time. Start Windows after the installation of each device. When you install a device that causes the issue that is described in the "Symptoms" section, remove that device, and then continue to install the other PCI devices. • If Windows does not start successfully, remove one or more of the memory modules that are installed in your computer. Leave sufficient RAM for your computer to start and run Windows XP.

Note Windows XP requires 128 megabytes (MB) RAM. The minimum is 64 MB and the maximum is 4 gigabytes (GB).

For example, if two 256-MB memory modules are installed in your computer, remove one of the memory modules. If Windows starts successfully, shut down the computer, and then reinstall the RAM modules one at a time. Start Windows after the installation of each RAM module. When you install a module that causes the issue that is described in the "Symptoms" section, remove that module, and then continue to install the other RAM modules. 3. Determine if the PCI devices in your computer are compatible with Windows XP. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx

Wont find monitor

Did this happen suddenly, or have you installed any new hardware? Try a different monitor. If you have new hardware, remove it. Your onboard video could have gone out, try a pci video card. Remove all pci cards and try booting. Try a different RAM module if available. If none of these seem to work, your cpu or more likely your motherboard is failing.
