Mcdevito75 here, Almost all Freon contains some compressor oill, pick up a recharge kit from your local parts store. If you a/c system has been down for a while you could add a can of oil it comes in one size, and usually added before ar during the freon charge.

My Air cond, heat and vent doesn't work at all on my car. I have replaced fuses and the blower motor. Whenever I put the new motor in it would run then blow the fuses. Could it be the compressor?

No, the compressor will NOT cause these fuses to blow. You have a SHORT in your electrical system. you have a HOT wire getting into the Ground for that system

Air conditioning compressoor leaking oil

I have not seen green fluid from an A/C compressor. There are some sealers which are put into an A/C system to seal leaks and refresh the system. Can not identify a brand, there can be differences in oil but again I am not familiar with colored oil.

Best advice is that the compressor will seize without oil and not work without Freon. Have a technician try to save your compressor by fixing leaks and refilling Freon.

I own a 2007 saturn vue which i plan to keep forever..i love it..just took my car in due to air cond.problem ..well compressor leaks getting it fixed but i did purchase a warrenty after my car care warrent...

Regularly change oil, plugs, wires, fuel filter, flush cooling system, and keep an eye on things like tire wear, brakes, ****** fluid, brake fluid, etc. Basic maintenance can keep you from big problems, but as with any vehicle, they arent indestructible and things will just eventually go bad. Then the fun begins :)

Air cond. Compressor doesn't turn on Is there a separate switch?

Well yes, there is a separate switch. If the A/C system is low on freon, the low pressure switch will keep the compressor from engaging to save it from damage due to no lubrication. The freon helps with lubricating the compressor. Get you a can of 134a from the parts store and add a little to see if the compressor will come on. It should come on before one can is used. Now for the freon to be gone means you have a leak. So if the can gets you cooling, try to find the leak so you can stay cool.

Air cond compressor locked up

Was it the compressor or the compressor clutch? The compressor clutch can be changed out cheaper than the compressor. So make sure you check it out before going foward with changing out the compressor.

Air cond does not working, and the compressor is leaking oil

If your compressor is leaking oil it has most likely lost enough charge in the system that the low pressure switch has activated. This will keep the compressor from engaging. This is a safety override to keep you from ruining the compressor as the charge has lubrication oil in it and to run the compressor without it will ruin the compressor and contaminate the system which will require a complete flush and charge. Get a shop to fix the seal in the compressor and have the charge topped off and hopefully you will be good to go.

Air cond dash light works, compressor doesn't go on.

AC's have a low freon switch that shuts off the system to protect the compressor in the advent that you have a freon leak have the system checked for a leak
