Question about Insignia IS-LCDTV32 32 in. Television
Power on and TV flickers and goes off. Will not stay on.
This is a common problem with this particular model unit and the answer is to replace several bad caps on the power supply module, upwards of 16 caps may have and could fail. There are the main three 680uf/35v caps E919,E920,E921 that usually bow or vent near the regulation circuit, top left of the supply board, replace these even when they appear okay. The remainder can be found simply using an esr meter.
If you have no meter and still want to make the repair yourself remove the board and send it in for repair. That way you'll keep the repair with $200.00 dollars and you've pretty much done it yourself..
