Check to see if the valve is opening and whether you here gas running through the system. Have you tried lighting it with a match or do you have a button to press to light it. The button lighter might be broken and would need to be replaced. Check for spark, otherwise I would just light with a match.

Please update me on the situation

Thank you and Good luck

If your propane tank has an OPD valve.. in other words if when the tank is disconnected and you open the tank valve and no gas escapes..it's an OPD valve..these are pretty much standard especially on the exchangeable tanks.

The problem sometimes is at the connection hose..it too of course must be an OPD connector to depress the internal ring on the tank valve before any gas will come out.

Chances are the knurled knob is either cross threading or is cracked..and won't snug up enough to depress that internal ring on the tank valve. Or you have miss matched components.. unlikely if you bought genuine replacement parts.

The All Pro Heater you have requires a specific part (fitting) to be added when using a universal regulator (Part number 6122) which is a 3/8 connector male.

This of course is assuming you hear no gas hissing.. cannot light it manually..

Sounds simple..but I have seen this problem on outdoor BB'Q's many times.. cracked knob on the connector hose and a few times simply backing it off and putting it back on.. tight enough to depress that ring..

Best of luck!

I have a RTA patio heater and on the box says it will work with LP or Propane but in the manual doesnt go into how to hook it or what needs to be done to LP connection can this be hooked into a home supply...

You didn't specify which model you have (Table Top or Tall Patio Heater). In any event, it doesn't matter, as LP and Propane are one in the same. However, it can not be converted to Natural Gas. Rita makes a separate Natural Gas model for that type of hookup.

I have an RTA International Patio Heater, Model 385.001 with a clogged pilot light valve. I need a way to fix the problem or a new replacement part. I have a commercial gas heating repair company working...

Gas Valves are not meant to be repaired only replaced. So I would have them replace the part and have them warranty there work. If the heater is very old and the replacement part is going to be half the cost of a new one You might want to put that Money on a new one and get a New manufactures warranty in the deal. Just another point of view....... Hope this helps

Try having all propane turned OFF. some systems auto shut off for leaks. SO....if you have the valve turned on when you open the tank valve, safety systems stop flow.

I am not getting gas to the top of the unit. How do I check to see if the regulator is allowing the flow of propane?

You will need a Pressure guage or manometer and fit this to the test point on the heater. Normal problems are blocked pilot or main injector blocked

Problem with gas flow?

Could be a couple of things. New regulator, easy fix. If not the regulator, then you most likely have a blockage in the pilot assembly. You have to take apart the head to get to the pilot jet assembly and clear the blockage. If you are not comfortable doing this, hire a service tech.
