Question about Kenmore 53092 / 53094 Side by Side Refrigerator
I checked inside both of the doors and there is no build up of water inside the refrigerator or freezer. The water seems to be coming out the bottom somewhere. I took off the back panel and the fan towards the back is blowing fine and the drain pan appears to be full of water. After cutting off the water supply to the refrigerator we have had no more leaking. Not sure what to do next.
You may have a small hole in the internal water pipe. Possibly from rubbing against the motor.
Take the end of the pipe comming from the back of the fridge (water inlet) and blow as hard as you can into it. If air passes through then you have a leak for sure.
Get a second set of hands to run along the pipe while you blow and you should be able to feel where the air is comming from.
Had this problem years ago with an Americana double door with ice dispenser.

Hey friend, I appreciate the post!
I understand that your refrigerator is defrosting but you are getting a patch of ice to form due to water leaking inside the freezer. It may be a moisture build up in your freezer. Which may be caused by the door being slightly opened, when that happens warm air can enter the refrigerator and cause a moisture build up. You could also check to see if your door seal is bad, the way to test that is to place a dollar bill between the body of the refrigerator and close to the door. Pull the dollar bill out, if it sticks it is good, but if bill comes out easily the gasket need to be checked. Hope this is helpful- Matt
