LG WM1480 fhd intermitent LE error

Replaced bearings thinking that was the cause but still would not make it through a cycle without stopping and showing LE fault code. On the face of it the motor seems to be ok although there seems to be a faint high pitch noise which we had not noticed before.

Any Ideas?

This error should mean that the drain hose is kinked or clogged. Clean and straighten the drain hose.

The drain filter could also be clogged. Clean the drain filter.

Let me know if this doesn't work or if you want other options to try. Please let me know what you find when you check these problems. Good luck and have a good day!

have you checked the rod, maybe there is some string or fabric wound on it or maybe it could use a little grease

Also try resetting the machine by leaving it unplugged for a few hours

LE error (checked stator and replaced HAll sensor already)

If the control board does not receive the input it will not operate does the door lock? However:
The attachment shows how to diagnose and repair a failed hall sensor, the usual cause of
an LE error code.

DO NOT replace the stator until the hall sensor has been tested. 98% of LE error codes are
caused by failed hall sensors.

[DD motor SVC check process ]

Pre Check
1) Gentle wash cycles, such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for
smaller loads. Because these cycles are more gentle in tumbling and spinning, putting too much in the
drum can register an issue with the motor. Remove items, reset unit and test with a Rinse/Spin cycle.
2) Don't replace the PCB when the hall sensor is replaced.
Check the hall sensor as shown in the new process.
O have a file I can send but can not upload here if you want it, contact me [email protected] please put hall sensor in subject line. Thanks

LE error on washer. What can I do without a tech?

The *dreaded* "LE" error is overwhelmingly caused or triggered by incorrect type detergent **OR** too much *HE* detergent (a special low sudsing detergent).
In all LG washers-when too much detergent has been used-this will cause the "LE" error to be displayed & the wash cycle will be interrupted. Unplugging the washer for more than one minute will cause the MAIN BOARD (computer) to power down and re-boot when the washer has been plugged back in.
On LG washers built *before* 2008-after several "LE" error events-the error *cannot* be reset by unplugging the washer. This indicates that the HALL EFFECT SENSOR has failed and will need to be replaced.
On all LG washers built during and after 2008-a more robust resistor was used in the HALL EFFECT SENSORS-which eliminated damage caused by higher electrical loads placed upon the sensors due to oversudsing. HALL EFFECT SENSORS virtually never fail in 2008 and newer LG washers but the "LE" error will still occur if too much or the wrong type of detergent is used. This will be "resettable" by unplugging/replugging the washer.
The CORRECT amount of HE (High Efficiency) detergent to be used is as follows:
HE : (2) Tablespoons Per Wash Load
HE 2X : (1) Tablespoon
HE 3X : (1) Teaspoon
USE THESE AMOUNTS RELIGIOUSLY-NO EXCEPTIONS-IN ALL FRONT LOAD WASHERS WITH 3.0 cu ft DRUMS AND LARGER

Lg ldf7932ss growling noise at wash cycle

The LG is known for the main motor bearings (2 small cheap) bearings that are of poor quality and become noisy (growls) after a period of time. I pulled the motor and replaced the Korean bearings with quality German equivalents. This is cheap and solves the problem. (the front bearing closest to the plastic pump is the culprit.

LE error on LG 2277HW

Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.

Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.

Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.

Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.

Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.

Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.

Has a large load size been used with a gentle wash setting?
Gentle wash cycles such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for smaller loads. Because the cycles are more gentle while tumbling and spinning, too many items in the drum can register as an issue with the motor. In this instance reset the unit and run a test rinse and spin cycle.

Has the washer been overloaded?
Single bulky items or large loads can add extra weight to the drum and place stress on the motor. Remove some of the clothing and restart. If the issue is still present after a few items have been removed, unplug the washer for 30 minutes to allow the motor to cool and then restart the cycle.

I have a LG WM0642HW washing machine. During the wash and rinse cycles the machine runs really rough and will not turn the drum over. Sometimes the machine will stop and go into the LE error. I have...

Your problem requires very skilled LG technician to check the wiring circuit from the control board to the motor and hall sensor. Very possible that the control board is bad but highly unlikely. Suspect the wiring harness with high resistance to the motor.
Good luck

Dishwashing cycle starts for about 3 minutes then flashing LE light comes on and the machine stops. Why?

Display Condition LE = Motor Error

Possible Cause For Error Occurrence:

Wiring connection is OK?
The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked.
The rotor of Washing Motor is locked.
The Blade is locked.

Remedy:

Check the wiring connection.
Replace the cause of restriction.
Replace the Washing Motor.
Replace the PCB.

Try the following steps:

Unplug the washing machine if you see an LE error on the two-digit display electronic readout. This error indicates a miscommunication between the control panel and wash motor.

Press and hold the "Start/Pause" button on the front panel for five seconds.

Plug the LG dishwasher back in.

Run a cycle. The LE code will clear.

LG model WM2277HW front load washing machine, getting LE error code, what does that mean? and how to fix it.

The 'LE' error message indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the hall effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped.
1) in my experience, sometimes this proves to be intermitent, and upon unplugging and waiting for 5 minutes does not seem to resurface again...
2)Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor, or even the hall effect sensor failing or dislodging from it's mount.
this could prove to be very challenging to somebody who does not know what they are working with, i suggest if the problem is not intermitent, call a tech.. hope this helps.

LG WM1480 spinning problem

Unfortunately you will need to have the main board replaced on the unit. Something has happened to the software settings on the main board for that particular cycle/spin speed. The only solution at this point is to replace the entire main board. Hope this helps. Please rate my solution.

Code LE comes on my washer it is a LG wm2075cw

Product Laundry Washer

Symptom Error Codes

Sub Symptom LE error code

Question Locked motor error code.

Answer LE error code: This indicates a locked motor condition. Please check the following conditions. Large loads of laundry can put a strain on the motor causing the LE error code. Try removing some clothing and restart. Excessive suds can cause the LE error code. Make sure the customer is using an HE (High Efficiency) detergent. They should decrease the amount of detergent until the machine washes without suds. A few bubbles can be expected. Areas that have soft water will usually need to use less detergent. If you suspect that excessive suds are the problem, let the machine stand for 30 min (motor cool down) and then run a rinse and spin cycle before restarting the load. If these directions are followed and the code persists, the machine will likely need service. .
