Question about HP Pavilion dv2000t 14.1" Notebook Laptop PC (Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz, 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD, D... PC Notebook
My HP Pavilion dv2200t CTO won't boot and gives the following POST error code: 1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps. I have Phoenix BIOS in it. When i try several times, it successfully boots up only very few times.
I believe it's a problem with my video adapter. Will changing the adapter help or is there a chance that something else might be wrong?
As far as laptop motherboard is having most of the device bulitin your motherboard has to replaced The beep says the return value or signal to the bios is not there from your vga chipset. If its not under warranty go for new laptop becoz motherboard cost half of the price.

Your dv2200ct has built in graphics controller ( nvidia 7200) so you can not re fix the card. it's sure is the display controller problem. either you need to replace the maotherboard. or fix the main board, which requires to dissassemble the board and replace some of the components. ( i have done this last month successfully). a good motherboard technician can do the job.,
