Tripping Breaker Our Hussman DCCG-12 keeps tripping a breaker and won't stay on. It does work once it is on, but it ends up shutting off again.

    How old is the unit?

It sounds as though the compressor is on its way out, and is drawing too much current on startup, thus causing the breaker to trip.

If you are hearing a "humming" noise and then a "tink" sound, that is the compressor trying to start.

My kenmore elite undercounted ice maker keeps blowing the reset button the outlet located on the wall nearby. We hadnt had an issue with the reset button prior to a recent repair made to motor and...

Maybe there was something bumped or overlooked during the cleaning/repair process like a cooling fan?
Did you add any other appliances to that circuit before/after/during the repair to increase amperage draw on the breaker?
Try replacing the overload protection outlet with a new one as it may be faulty/worn out. Good luck

Freezer keeps tripping breaker

Possible that it is draining a larger current and so it trips the breaker. Check if the capacitor to the motor is faulty, replace if you find it on test to consume more current and low charge.
Also the motor can be checked , the wiring to the freezer specially the GROUND connection as any leak can also trip the circuit.

Is it possible for a delfield freezer 6151 XL-S to trip a breaker every 2-3 hours if the TXV valve was faulty letting liquid get to compressor. This unit has had controller and relay start assembly...

I would look to see if it is tripping during the defrost cycle. One of the heater elements my be faulty. Never heard of a bad TXV causing a breaker tripping, but I guess it's possible. I would adjust the superheat so that it is about 6 to 8 degrees just prior to unit reaching temp and shutting off. I'd start there.

After moving to a new home, the freezer keeps tripping the breaker every few days

My first instinct is to ask you, are you plugging this freezer into a GFI outlet, one which has a breaker switch as part of the outlet? If so, that is the culprit and not the freezer, as refrigerators and freezers will often trip this ground fault indicator because water can on occasion reach ground, which causes the breaker to trip on the outlet.

Test this by plugging the freezer into a non GFI outlet for longer than a few days. Nothing is broken and you dont need refrigerator repair service.

My table top freezer is not freezing

if its tripping the breaker you mayu have too many devices on that circuit or a loose wire causing the amperage togo up after it runs awhile I would go and tighten all the wires first on the breaker panel then the plug and then see iff it still does it. Let us know if thiss solves the problem oir if it fixes it. Thanks for using FixYa.

Had theoverload and relay switch replaced still tripping breaker

yes. if you pull all the wires from compressor and use a meter with a continuity bell , touch a copper line and then a compressor terminal. try em all. odds are you'll hear a bell showing continuity or the fact that power can flow directly from the compressor terminal to the chassis= a grounded compressor. or you could have a dead short where the wires in to the compressor aren't touching the case but are touching each other before they go to the motor windings, = a short. either one is an all done situation. time for new .
