Question about IBM ThinkPad R50e Notebook
None of the solutions in the forums work, at least they didn't work for me. I finally got the solution from Lenovo support. You need the hotkey driver from their website. Download it here:
Follow the instructions on the above site to run hotkey\setup.exe and reboot, and you will have your on-screen displays back!

I assume you mean the green bars across the screen? It may be a setting in the control panel, or ibm utility to show on screen or not. Or, you might have to download the utility from ibm's support website and re-install it.
