9120 Capacitor & transistor problems

Hi

1. Where do I find the 100uf/63v and 2200uf/16v capacitors.

2. I also have another 9120 which is not powering on. I opened it and found a blown transistor N507AD G30N60C3D. Do you have it instock or tell me where I can order it from.

Well all of the above mentioned parts are available in any electronics spare parts store. The capacitors are common which you can easily buy in any electronic store. Good luck!!

How the SMPS is working in telecom? What are the functions of SMPS? How it is Converting AC to DC? What are the parts are there inside the SMPS and their function?

smps involves ac to dc and dc-dc switching at high frequency because the type of a transformer in smps is a high frequency transformer and a current gain due to the ferrite application.to do a dc to dc switching you need a mosfet, smps ic e.g uc3845,dc capacitor and some passive components.

Powerware 9120 6000i model indicates a charger failure. It is the first time that we opened this unit and we do not know the location of the charger circuit (we do not have a schematic diag). Could you...

The charger in powerware 9 series 9120 6000i ,the fan is of a quality that it fails and the heat sink does not get sufficient cooling ,it runs on 12 volt ,i replaced it with a cpu fan from a mainboard on a pc and it works perfectly now. make sure that the fan is running else the charger might go in protection or can fail due to the transistor on heat sink fails.

Hi, here is the documentation page for the 9120 where you can find the manual: http://powerquality.eaton.com/Products-services/legacy/9120-info.asp You can also contact customer support 800 356 5737 or SinglePhaseTS@eaton.com. You may recognize the product as the Powerware 9120 but Powerware was bought by Eaton a few years ago. The customer support team is most ex Powerware and are familiar with the 9120.

Hi we have problem with 6kva 9120 eaton ups,

Maybe you have many overvoltage situations at your area, that the UPS can't handle. It's a good idea to put before the ups an overvoltage protection or a stabilizer. Ask the manufacture for the overvoltage protection of the ups that can handle.

No Power Up

The battery charger inside the UPS is faulty so check the transistors including the rectifier on the heat sink. Replace the faulty ones and your UPS will be good. I strongly suggest that you check all the transistors on the PC board just to make sure that the whole board is ok after replacing the transistors

Help - I have the same Fault!

Normally DC BUS FAULT is fixed by replacing C14 and C10. C14 is the 100uf/63V and C10 is 2200uf/16V. They are located between the heat dissipator and the logic board near transformer TX1.

Powerware 9120 DC Bus Fault Problem.

there is a 100uf/63v capacitor near the IRF630 fet. You need to replace this in order to fix this error. Along there is also a 2200uf/16v capacitor. It is a good idea to change the both at the same time.
