In these sets, it is common that the flyback transformer assembly, and sometimes the horizontal output transistor. With this there may be some failed capacitors in the horizontal section. When this type of failure occures it is possible that the power supply has some parts that also must be changed. The exact parts will be determined by the way the failure occured.

In some cases the CRT also goes shorted inside of the electron-gun. In this case the CRT must also be replaced.

In short order, you should take the set in for an estimate. It may be on the expensive side to service. If you are lucky, only the flyback may need replacement or some other simple part that is putting the set in to the protect mode.
