Question about ASUS EAH2600XT/HTDP - Graphics adapter - RADEON HD 2900XT - PCI Express x16 - 256 MB GDDR3 - DVI H... PCI Express Graphic Card
I have just purchased this card to replace an ATI X550,so I remove the ATI drivers, fit the ASUS and install the drivers that came with the card.Reboot my computer and it froze on the Windows XP screen.Switched it off and re-started,I'm now offered choices of starting Windows,so I opt for starting as normal. This time Windows actually loads after some 5 minutes.I check in control panel and it confirms the cards drivers are O.K.
I then go to play Guild Wars on-line and it re-boots when I try to sign-in.I then go to Eve on-line and it does the same thing,do I need to delete the files of these games on my computer and re-register to get access?
Also why is it,that this card has now slowed down the start up process,it appears to have made Windows quite unstable, could it be that this card is not compatible with my Mobo
What system do you use for cpu intel or amd? as the ati card was usually used for amd and asus are intel based maybe moboard not compatable suggest you check out asustek site for problems of compatability
