-   inserted new batteries and when i open the shutter the green power light comes on but the camera will not opperate then i can not get the green light to go out i have to open the battery compartment to get it to go out any one help

-   Yep, the batteries ran out and when I changed them to some new ones, it wouldn't switch on again. At first I thought I'd got some dodgy batteries but then using different ones didn't make any difference. Help please!-   AmyBaggott

The camera pwers up but only comes on for about 20 seconds then it shuts off. When it shuts down the lens stays out. My daughter dropped it and it has a small dent on the side.
