Formatted my touch and now it just shows the apple logo then a apple skull and is not getting recognized on mac book

You may need to restore or update your iPod, iPod mini, or iPod nano by placing it in Disk Mode if only an Apple logo appears when you turn it on. If this happens, the iPod software may have been damaged. Put iPod into Disk Mode, then restore or update iPod's software. Put iPod into Disk Mode. iPod should appear in the iTunes Source pane and on the desktop or in a Finder window, or in the My Computer window. If a message appears that says the volume could not be mounted and asks if you want to initialize the disk, choose to initialize iPod's disk. Use Mac OS Extended format (HFS Plus) if you have a Mac, or FAT32 if you have a Windows PC.

Warning: This process cannot be undone. All of your songs, videos, and other files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
Follow the steps to update or restore iPod. If you manually put iPod into Disk Mode it may need to be reset before you can use it. If you cannot put iPod into Disk Mode after performing these steps, it may need to be repaired. You can arrange for repair at the iPod Service Website.

In Europe, please schedule a service appointment with either an Apple retail store or a local Apple Authorized Service Provider.

In Australia, simply complete the online iPod service request form or take your iPod to a local Apple Authorized Service Provider.

Ipod touch half white screen

This is actually really easy to do.

This called a hard reboot.

All you have to do is hold the home button and the power button down at the same time for 30 to 40 seconds or until you get a Apple sign on your screen.

This will reboot your ipod.

If this does not work there is one other thing you can try to do.

Hook your ipod touch up to your computer that you use itunes on.

Itunes will detect a problem with your ipod.

You can try a restore of your ipod from your computer.

If this does not work its time to return or send your ipod back to apple so they can repair it.

hope this helps

My ipod touch touch screan wont work

You may have damaged the ipod, you can send in to apple for repair or visit a local Apple store. Or if it has frozen due to an app, then wait for the battery to drain completely or try to shut it off by holding the power button down for longer than 3 seconds.

I fuly charge my ipod and it only lasts about 3 hours my backlight it nearly black and i press the of button it just flickers back on agin and wont turn off do i ned a new battery?

sounds like the iPod needs a new battery, or just some internal repairs. you're going to have to send this in to the repair center, to avoid voiding warranty. unfortunately, there isnt much the end user can to to repair the iPod, so its either that, or buy a new iPod.

Itouch wont turn on

Either your battery is low and must charge, or your battery has died.

Or, try resetting your iTouch.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Or,

DFU: Hold the power/home button for 10 secs then keep holding the home button and let go of the power for a further 8 secs.

Factory settings: Press the restore button in the summary tab of your ipod in itunes

Other than that, you should call apple for repair..

Hope this helps! ^_^
