Can you explain exactly what you mean by "the main back wires"?

Do you mean the conection block to the supply, or wires inside the back of the cooker? If you mean the wires inside, please explain how the problem arose.

In the UK, to connect to the connection block of a fixed integrated oven in a Kitchen, you must be a Part P Registered electrician. Such an electrician will issue a Minor Works Certificate for this work on completion - otherwise they are not Registered!

Be aware that if the work is not done under Part P and a fire occurs, etc your insurance company are entitled to REFUSE to pay out for the damage including any consequential damage to neighbours property or for loss of life!!

The block has three terminals and the Live, Neutral and Earth are indicated by marks stamped on the metal back of the cooker (if a CE product).

L = Live and takes the Brown covered wire
N = Neutral and takes the Blue covered wire
wiring diagram - 52080c4.gifor E = Earth (CPC) and takes the green/yellow covered.

If the cable has an uncovered copper third wire or is coloured Red/Black it should be replaced from the connection accessory on the wall behind the cooker with a heat resistant 3-core Butyl cable of sufficient size to cope with the load of the oven.

If you let me know the rating of the oven (label on door) in amps or watts, I'll tell you what size of cable you need.

How can I get a wiring diagram for part number 316436001?

The wiring diagram should be on the range that the switch is going on. That's a Frigidaire part number and they usually put the wiring diagram on back of unit. If not, you can look at the other switches and just match up and wire the same. Be careful and Good Luck

Wiring diagram for ge 3 coil range burner

Go to the back of the range. The wiring diagram with be on the back, or inside the top console. They hide them there for service engineers. Washing machine diagrams are in the bottom or in the top console, Fridges are behind the back of the freezer to the right of the evaporator coils.

Your colour coding is probably the same on all burners. There is normally only two wires.

There is usually a wiring diagram on a sheet of paper folded and poked inside of the range somewhere (usually by the burner switches). Sometimes it is on a sticker on the back or inside the back panel.

Missing license plate wiring and complete assembly. How do I splice in to the trailer or tail lamp wiring? Off the "brown wire"? Is it really that easy?

These are the diagrams basically from the headlamp switch going back to the license plate lamps. The main splice after the headlamp switch going back is in the main harness near the warning chime module. If you need a larger picture or the entire outside lighting wiring, feel free to email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with all your vehicle information. Yes it is that simple by just splicing into the main rear light wiring at the brown wire. Hope this is what you were looking for.....

The oven on my GE Profile stove will not go on?

If the range does not work at all check the following

Fuse/circuit breaker
Check to see if power is getting to the range/oven. Does anything turn on--even a light? If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

Main wiring
Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the range/oven, gets burned and so breaks the connection. Then you may have to replace the power cord to the range/oven, and the terminal block that the wire is attached to.

Range/oven wiring
There may be a broken or burned wire at the back of the range/oven. If you repair any of the wires, use only proper appliance-grade wire and wire connectors.

Oven not working

Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.

Below is a link to common solutions that will help you with parts and diagnostic procedures that are specifically tuned to your manufacturers data plate information.
It provides exploded view imagery, belt routing diagrams, parts imagery and function, parts ordering and shipping information, error code details, just about anything you need to get your appliance up and running again. Once you access the site you will be able to navigate numerous pages of information on your product. You will need to enter your model number to access your product information.

This will help you acquire a more accurate and expeditious response to your complaint. I will post the most common solutions to your complaint. For more specific information please refer to the tip and/or link provided. Here are some things to look for:
