Call panasonic-- they have extended the warranty on this issue up to 18 months, as it is a known problem with the sealant for the iris. If the sealant is not moving, the iris sticks and the projector goes into lockdown. Call this number and they will take care of your problem: 1-800-211-PANA (7262)
THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE DYNAMIC IRIS WHICH IS DEFECTIVE. IF YOU GO TO THE SELF CHECK MENU THE IRIS IS DISPLAYED IN RED. THE IRIS HAS TO BE EITHER REPLACED OR UPGRADED TO AN IRIS OF MODEL 200. THE PROJECTOR WILL RUN FOR A FEW HOURS MORE IF THE DYNAMIC IRIS SETTING IS SWITCHED OFF

If you have recently replaced the bulb you may need to reset the lamp counter in the projector menu.
If you have not replaced the bulb, the projector may be shutting down due to over-heating. Check that the projector is clear of as much dust and debris as possible.
Did you rest the lamp hour after replacing the lamp. It is recommended the you have to reset the lamp hour after replacing the lamp. For resetting the lamp hour do the following.
1. Power ON the projector
2. Press the Menu button
3. Select OPTIONS
4. In OPTION menu select Lamp Reset and press the enter button.
(If the lamp hour counter is at the heights level then the projector will turn OFF after some time.)
I think thelamp is running hot and shutting off due to the thermal cut off. So try to cool the system with a forced fan cooling and see if the projecctor runs for more time. Also see if the filters have choked and is not ventillating to the lamp resulting in the heat buildup. I sincerely hope this could be the fault as in cold condition it had worked longer.I hope this helps. Good day
reason for fan spinning at high speed after shutdown is to cool down the projector after it has been on
you will feel hot air from exhaust as this is taking the heat away from the lamp, where all the heat is generated
if it shuts down after 20 mins either the projector is blocked, maybe, a fan is not running, filter blocked, or the motherboard is now u/s
Just a quick couple of notes about your projector. It is a DLP projector (not LCD) and as such the machine as no air filters to clean. It does have air intake and air exhaust grilles, but no air filters to clean. This next part comes directly from the owner' manual for your projector:
When the lamp operation time exceeds 2000 hours*1 *2, the projector automatically shuts off and can’t be used until the lamp is replaced and the lamp operation time is reset.
Your machine is designed to give visual warning messages at 1500 hours used, and 1900 hours used. Did you see any visual warning about lamp life over the past few months?
If you were experiencing an overheating problem, a "TEMPERATURE!!" message would flash up on the screen just before the unit shuts down. If there is no warning, you don't have a heat problem.
If you have a replacement lamp available, install it and reset the lmap hours according to your user manual. If you don't have the manual, google it on the web (it available).
From the infocus_lp650 manual Table 2: Red LED Behavior Explanation One (1) blink The lamp won't strike after five (5) attempts. Check the lamp and lamp door installations for loose connections. Optional Accessories Part Number Three (3) blinks The projector has shut down the lamp. Replace the lamp. Contact Technical Support for repair if replacing the lamp does not solve the problem.. Four (4) blinks The fan has failed. Replace the lamp (the lamp module contains a fan). Contact Technical Support for repair if replacing the fan does not solve the problem.
