you should be able to go to their site and log in with the same email/password as when it was purchased/registered. look in your account activity there. it should let you download your purchase again.

Computer crashed.reinstall Norton

hello ,

i've made these constructions for you :

firstoff try to install any previous norton version ,after the installation go to dir C:\Program Files\Norton 360
then copy the file named CLTVault.dll and past it on your desktop (we're gonna need it later) .
after , try to download
Norton 360 v2.0 from here , then cut the net off and install the last version , the old version will be deleted automatically , when you see the activation part in the installation , exit the installation , and restart your computer to bootup in a safe mode , then copy the file CLTVault.dll that we have pasted on our desktop i, try to past it in C:\Program Files\Norton 360 , then agree on the replacement ,then open ur computer in normale mode and continue the activation then it will works fine .

Can get a logo and "boot manager missing" Use CtrlAlt &del to start. It won't.

Norton sucks, use AVG Free 8.0.
other than that, see if another partition on the drive has the install info. You may need to go through your Bios to access that info.
WIN 98 on a newer machine is a mistake. Contact the manufacturer for an OEM install disk for your make/model laptop. (should be able to do that on the maker's website)

I downloaded norton anti virus about seven months ago,and last week my hard drive crashed,i have had a new hard drive fitted but do i have to pay to have norton downloaded again?

Hey helen185,

If you've had to restore your computer and need to reinstall Norton Anti-Virus, you should be able to download the software a second time as long as you have access to your order number and/or Norton account information. You should be able to do so by following this link:

http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/cs/kbload.jsp?docurl=step_2007102605434976&selected_nav=1&prev_id=downloads_orders_01&prev_link=link_02

Please keep in mind that the software you purchased may need to be Norton 2006 or a more recent edition in order to be downloaded a second time, as information provided by the publisher indicates that older downloads are no longer available.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

I have Norton antivirus on me PC .My hardrive crashed and need a new one .It was purchased new Feb'08 and joined Norton April'08 (when trial period expired). Can I transfer my subscription to new hardrive?...

Sure, you are entitled to 12 months usage, no matter if you change computer or disk.

All you need is the installation key provided from Norton and the link to Norton download, to download and install onto the new hard drive.
Usually Norton send this detail to email.
If you have lost this information contact Symantech and provide details used for purchase, they will give you instructions on what to do to validate and use the remaining time for your license.

Here is Symantech contact for UK only

Proceeding from here you can find contact for other countries

Norton 360

Hi Sheba,

Yes you can load norton 360 on your new pc. If you have all the license codes, just remove the trial version from your new pc and installed the full version of 360. To uninstall you can either go to control panel -> add remove programs and select the nortan trial software. Or you can find an installation's link under the program list. Hope this helps.
