I have a 1997 MDL: DGATO70BDD, S#: 970228826 propane furnace, that will not come on. If I turn the thermo., to the desired temp., all I can hear in the furnace is some sort of humming noise. There is a blend air box, that has a steady green led and a red led, that flashes just once. But according to what I have read, that flashing red light has nothing to do directly with the furnace. I have looked for another light, but nothing. So....where do I begin to check? I live in MT. and winter is just a couple of steps away. Any help in getting me in the right direction, would be greatly appreciated.

Turn power off to heater then watch operation. if it has a combustion blower motor it will come on, then after that next you should see the hot surface / or spark ignitor try to light pilot. Also on the door panel or controler you should be able to find out what it means when the light flashes three times. If you need more help then email at If i have more info on the heater i can help you more

I have a coleman furnace in my mobile home & green light is flashing 3 times. I guess its a centrifugal switch is this expensive and is it something i can do myself?

I would not try to do this, in the uk you need to be properly certified to work on such items. If you make a mistake you could blow up.

Coleman echelon 9.T furnace will not turn on. Red light blinking

sounds like it is the pressure switch try jumping it out on some models you fool the heater in too working or see if the tubes are blocked , there should be some codes on the front panel or the fan panel

Turning heater on : combustion air switch failed to close?

This air switch proves that the inducer motor is running and moving air. If not, check to make sure that the inducer motor starts and that the flue is free of bird nest, ice/snow, or some other critter that found a new home.

Coleman Gas Heater for home

I have a Coleman gas heater. My heat won't come on. I can here the blower comming on when I turn on the thermonstat. However no heat will come out. I went up in the attic and the heater instructed me not to light it with a flame. There was a yellow spiral kind of pipe with what look like a little yellow open and close valve. It looked like you should turn it and let the gas come in the heater from the gas line.I wasn't sure if it really was how to turn on the heater. I need some help. should I call the gas company or another company.
