I have the same problem but i use apple ipod touch 16G 1st gene

1. Start by syncing your iPod with your computer. When you do this, the iPod management screen will appear. Midway down that screen there's a button that reads "Restore." Click the restore button. This begins the process of restoring the iPod to its factory settings. After you click the restore button, iTunes will ask you to confirm that you really want to do this. If your iPod content is backed up, go ahead. 2. The iPod restore process includes iTunes downloading and installing iPod software and bug fixes. You will see a window that looks like this. Follow the onscreen instructions. **On a Mac, you will be asked to enter your computer?s password. On Windows, the installation will just proceed. 3. As iTunes restores the iPod, you will see a progress bar. 4. After the restoration process has completed, iTunes will pop up a window letting you know that it?s done. 5. Now you?ve got an empty, freshly formatted iPod. Now you can sync the iPod with your computer and download your iTunes library again.

    Complete a Regular Restore
  1. Back up your iPod Touch's data to your computer before the restore to prevent losing data. You'll need to reinstall it after the restore process.
  2. Connect to the Internet and install the latest version of iTunes from the Apple website.
  3. Make sure your iPod Touch is connected to your computer.
  4. Pick "iPod Touch" in the Source pane of the iTunes program.
  5. Click on the Summary tab.
  6. Choose "Check for Update."
  7. Select "Restore" and follow the instructions to finish restoring your iPod Touch. Complete an Advanced Restore
  8. If following the steps in the previous section did not work, follow these steps to perform an advanced restore. Turn off the power on the iPod Touch.
  9. Plug the iPod Touch into your computer.
  10. Power on the iPod Touch.
  11. Press the "Home" and "Sleep/Wake" buttons together for 5 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
  12. Release the "Sleep/Wake" button but continue holding down the "Home" button. The iPod Touch should reboot, and iTunes will notice the iPod Touch in recovery mode.
  13. Return to the above section and follow those steps to restore your iPod Touch.
WARNING
Restoring iPod Touch software will return the iPod to its factory condition, and the restoration process will erase all data.

Ipod touch turns on but tells me to connecct to itunes

You'll need to find a friend or family member that has a computer to resolve this issue. The iPod touch needs to be restored.
Using the Restore function for your iPod touch is part of standard troubleshooting procedure. Restoring your device will erase all data from your iPod touch, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. All iPod touch settings are restored to their factory condition.
Whenever you restore your iPod touch, Apple highly recommends that you perform a sync prior to restoring in order to back up any changes since your last sync. If you have movie rentals on the device, see this document before restoring.
Use the following steps to restore your iPod touch:
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed and running before attempting to update. Connect your iPod touch to your computer. Select your iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices. Select the Summary tab. Select the Restore option. When prompted to back up your iPod touch's settings before restoring, select the Back Up option. If have just backed up the device, it is not necessary to create another.
Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (As long as you've backed up your device, you should not have to worry about restoring your iPod touch).
Once the restore process has completed the iPod touch restarts and displays the Apple logo while starting up
