Maybe the ICs audio amplifiers are in short circuit,or one of the speakers are in bad conditions.

I have an Alpine MRX-M100 amp and SWR-1223d subwoofer sound drop problem

My first guess would be line-in gain is dropping. I would try plugging a different deck into the amp or use an mp3 device with a 3.5mm to RCA cord as an input and see if you can replicate the issue. If you can with a different input device, its an issue with the amp

I can't seem to find the remote wire for the RCA leads that go to my amp

  • The remote wire connects the head unit/deck and runs to the amp. You have to supply this wire. It does not have to be to thick of gauge like the power and ground wire.
  • The RCA connects from the deck to the amp if your deck has them. All the newer decks do but not all decks have a spot for RCA cables.
  • The two are different. The RCA cables are what sends the audio signal to the amp for the speakers. The remote wire sends a power feed signal that turns the amp on when the deck is turned on. It's basically the on/off "switch" to the amp activated by the deck being turned on/off.

  • Thanks for using FixYa.

Amp has power, but barely any power is getting to the subwoofers themselves. No thump, just minor vibrating.

Turn the GAIN up on the side of amp.
Make sure the bass is up on the deck
make sure the rca cables are coming from the "rear" terminals of the deck.
Make sure they goin to the "IN" of the amp
make sure amp is in LOW PASS not high pass or mid

Jensen CD-510K hooking a 200 watt amp to it.Need to know what wires need to use to hook it up

rca cables for audio and a remote wire. just plug the rca cables into the plugs in the back of the deck and the remote wire (i suggest buying a thicker (speaker wire size) gauge wire since it allows you to get more power out of the amp) to the blue remote wire coming from the deck. you will also need an 8 gauge power wire (12 inches to 12 feet depending on where the battery and amp are) and an 8 gauge ground wire (no longer than 24 inches).

I just got the Kenwood Sub KSC WA100 from my cousin with no electric wires or nothing so pretty much what all do i need and where can i find it i will be putting it in a 07 nissan sentra 2.0

Subs are subs, they come with no wiring. You need an amp and all necessary wiring to get it bumping. What type of deck do you have? Where will the sub be placed? In the trunk? Amp install is easy. Also suggest purchasing one of those amp kits for $20-$30, makes it a bit easier.

My PG Xenon 600 watt amp will not power my subwoofers

hello it sounds like your problem may be in the remote/power wire that goes from the back of your radio deck to the amplifier. the amp should have a wire connection that says remote,p.con, or antenna. and its usually the smallest wire connector located by the power and ground wire. this wire goes to the solid blue wire coming out of the deck. you can conect the wires together any way you want. i usualy shave off a little pice of the wire cover and wrap the wire coming from the amp around the bare wire then cover it in electical tape or cut the blue wire from the deck at a fit length and use a wire nut and put the two cut ends in and also the wire coming from the amp. also make sure the amplifire dose not have power to it just to be safe. wouldent want to fry anything.

There is also the left and right wires(ususaly red and white) that go on the back of the deck to the amp.

also chek the volume on the amplifire

Alpine type-r 2ohm dual voice coil help

try reconnecting your rca's from the deck to the amp when finished wire one speaker positive to positive on left channel and negative to negative on right channel then connect the 1st subwoofer. if all power and sound is fine and working turn off power to amp and connect negative terminal of 1st sub to positive on 2nd sub and positive from first sub to negative on second crossing the wires runs the speakers in series another way to try is parralel the speakers wiring by connecting positive left channel output of amp to positive on 1st sub same with the negative then splice positive to positive on second sub and same with negative.

Could a ground stop your woofer from working?

First check the speaker wire from the amp to the sub, see if it's connected right. Second check the rca cables that goes from your amp to the back of the deck. I f both wires are still connected fine try to replace the rca cables. If it still doesn't work the rear out put at the back of your deck, where the rca's are connected are bad. FYI deck is bad.
