Problem for Memorex (320232340 (32023234) CD-RW Burner

After this new product was installed, I followed the NERO process to "Add" data files to a cd. When completed, it said " burning was successful". When I went to view the files on the cd they simply weren't there. I couldn't see them in the Memorex device or in my PC cd drive. I put a known cd in both drives and they could both read the data files on it. Also, I have gone to their website and downloaded the "Burn Rights" and it still doesn't work.
BTW I have a Dell laptop using Windows XP.
