    Hi

I have the same problem when i try to print I get a loud clicking noise. I know its not the crtridge because i have changed that. Unfortunately I can go no further because I cannot see what's going on when the printer is closed up.

My ML2010 makes a noise like a machine gun when it's switched on.
    Did you resolve this problem?

Got the same problem. it then starts pulling a paper in and then stops.
I heard that i must install new drivers, but that doesn't help either.

With power cable removed, I had to unscrew the plastic covers, then metal plate on left side of printer to get to white plastic gears. When I pulled the metal plate away slightly, I heard something fall inside the printer. After shaking the printer a little bit, one of my son's tiny lego pieces fell out. When I reassembled, the printer works like new.

I decided to try and sort this out and I removed the toner and started digging around (with the power lead out...). I discovered a small plastic cap from one of my kids toys jamming the mechanism up. I removed it and fired it up and it's been fine ever since.
Thanks for the above posts.

I had exactly the same - loud clicking noise from the gears on L/H side, and discovered a small bit of wood had somehow ended up in the same place as the above illustration. Removed and instantly cured. Well done to pabben!

Same problem after a paper trapped. I don´t know if the paper trap was because something broke, but after I took the paper the noise started. Please someone give us a solution.

Printer HL-3070CW - LOUD Grinding noise when it seems to be running large print offs. It is almost like it gets too hot

My 3070CW makes the same noise. It is caused by the transfer belt. One roller is driven by a cog and this goes fine. The other roller has a tensioner and this roller is making all the noise. While the noise is really loud and annoying - it is completely harmless. Hope this helps.

Refer to the service manual in disassembling the device.. Clean it thoroughly then try it again.. If, you have no experience in doing so, hire a qualified tech to do so.

Why Samsung CLP-300 Printer making annoying/loud clicking noises?

So try to get the black toner cartridge out of the Machine. On zhe backside of the Cardridge is a gear. Try to turn the gear, maybe the Toner inside is clump together. When you can turn it very easy in both directions it's fine.

I found another posting stating that the culprit was the black toner cartridge. Sure enough I changed our black cartridge and the grinding noise has stopped. No wonder the grinding noise was not happening all the time only when the black cartridge got low. Thanks for the help!

Printer makes noise while cleaning heads

Grinding noise is most likely caused by the carriage lock getting stuck and holding the print head at the home position. The noise is caused by the toothed belt that pulls the head back and forth, skipping over the splines on the motor drive wheel. If you have been able to print since the problem occurred, chances are that it has freed itself up and will be fine. Regarding the loss of cyan & magenta output, follow the solution given in my previous posts to complete a manual under-head cleaning cycle. This should get you going.
