Question about PC Laptops
I actually figured it out. My mom has the same exact laptop as me and my bf took my hard drive out and put in hers and put her hard drive in mines to determine whether or not it's the laptop or the hard drive and it was indeed the hardrive. My mom's hard drive started up fine on my laptop. No, I didn't keep the original box I didn't think a serial # would rub off! Unfortunatly, most of my info. couldn't be restored. I had to buy a new hard drive and load everything all over again.

The problem could be one of the following:
1. your battery is dead or is not recharging.
did you try turning it on while the A/C adapter is plug to the wall and the laptop? some laptops will work with just an A/C adapter even if the battery is low. If it works with the A/C adapter then you need a new battery.
2. your monitor may not be working
try hooking up a regular monitor to the video port of the laptop.
If this works then the monitor needs to be repaired.
3. there is something wrong with the motherboard
We need more information to narrow your problem down.
Do you have a floppy drive? What operating System does your laptop have Windows Xp , Vista, or another?
