Question about Pioneer AVIC-S1 GPS Receiver
My husband accidentally changed the language to Portugese. He finally understood enough to switch it back to English, but when he did, It said there was a fatal error and that we needed to bring it to a rep to get it fixed. I tried to push the reset button, but nothing works. Any solutions before we pay to get it fixed?
I had the fatal error message as soon as I switched on my AVIC-S1. I also tried the reset to no avail. I rang Pioneer helpdesk who informed me that this was an unrecoverable error, and told me to return it to the shop from which it had been purchased. Replaced without question and replacement model has worked no problem. I would suggest that the fatal error message is a non specific error message to cover a wide variety of terminal faults?
