Question about Kenwood KDC-135 CD Player

1 Answer

KCD-135 I can't figure out how to get the AUX to work. I plugged the cable into the front of the stereo for my ipod however when I press the MENU button the menu will not stay on. How do I get the AUX to work for my ipod? Also, a CD is stuck in the CD player. How do I get it out? Also, the radio will not get any stations. Is there a way to get an antenna signal? WE ARE NOT DOING TOO WELL WITH THIS STEREO. Please Help! Cynthia.

How do you hook up an i-pod to a KDC-135 AND HEAR IT?

You will need a 3.5mm mini to mini cable (available at any good car audio store for between $10-20. Plug that into the headphone jack on your ipod and then into the aux input on your stereo. Then select aux-in as the source on your Kenwood. Now play the music on your ipod at about 3/4 volume on the iPod.

Unable to get my ipod to play through my stereo even tho its plugged into the aux socket

Just figured this out !
1) You have to be in 'Standby' mode - press (SRC) until it shows standby.
2). Press and hold 'Menu' button.
3). Using the joystick - move it left or right until it shows 'AUX' 'OFF'.
4). Move joystick up or down until it shows 'AUX ON1'.

It should now work ! - This is on P.22 of the manual - but it actually starts on page 19 where it describes 'Standby' mode.

AUX input won't work

The red and white RCA terminals on the back of the unit are generally outputs for amplifiers. To use AUX the unit will need to have a 3.5mm jack in the front or rear. If not than the unit does not have AUX input capabilities.

HELP! ipod wont work.

Hi guys, just figured out how to hook up your Ipod to the above mentioned stereo, Here is how...

- Put your stereo in STBY mode, then push the menu button, scroll up or down and you get different options to change clock and AUX settings, my AUX was OFF and I had to select ON. Now you can push your Sorce button (the one that puts the stereo in STBY) and you will have the AUX option this will allow you to play your MP3 players and Ipods. ENJOY!

I spent a few hours looking for this very explination so I hope this saves the rest of you some time. Safe driving.
