Remove the speaker grille. then there should be a few screws running along the bottom of the screen frame. after removing those screws slide the entire fram up to release the hooks that hold the screen frame to the cabinet. Be careful and unhook the wire clip from the front control panel once the screen frame is loose before you stretch the wires.

Where can i get a plexiglass screen?

I have a P46921 46 in rear projection television. I brought it in and they told me it was the processor board (main control board with programming) that wasn't letting the TV turn on and was quite an expensive repair. I now have the parts back and was wondering if someone could use them. I know that some people were looking for the actual screen found behind the plexiglass or what looks like plexiglass. I have all the parts and was told that it worked beautifully until it decided it wouldn't turn on again. Anyone interested, please drop me an email at jforest7@gmail.com.

Thanks.

I have an RCA rear projection TV with a dead fly behind the screen, how do I get it out?

pop the speaker grill off, then take out the 1/4 inch screws and remove the screen, if it's behind the screen, simply brust it away, if it's between the 2 screens, then you must take them apart and remove the body. also while your in there, clean the lenses and mirror with some windex, this will greatly improve your picture.

OK
Take the screws out of the BACK top panal of tv! be gentle the mirror is connected to this back!.... now after removeing back you will see the inside of screen and the three lenses and on back panel the mirror! clean all three of these and you will see a big change for the better..Then just replace back! (The screen itself does not come out!)

Proper way to clean rca rear projection tv screen

my tv repair man said use a blackboard eraser and rub it on screen vertically - that is up & down only. He said to use no chemicals or cleaners, or you'll ruin it. He had a customer that had a child draw on it with crayons-he told her to leave it there because it's better than destroying the screen.
