Question about Standard (CRT) Televisions

1 Answer

RCA 52 LCD Model #D52w17

I think we may have 2 problems but not sure. 1. We have to unplug the TV every night in order for it to come back on the next day. 2. Noticed that the color on left side of screen is not normal- example shows yellow on shoulder of someone wearing a white jacket.

I have a audio issue with my RCA Stereo Monitor Color Trak Plus Television

Some of these sets have a glitch and you only have to unplug the set over night and the audio returns . If not you could have had the eeprom lock up or a problem in the audio output section. Also check to make sure the tv didn't switch your speakers off in the audio section of you menu. Good luck

Rca home theatre big screen tv

# 1 above you have covergence problems ,there is a service flash from rca to fix your fault, ask your tv shop. fault # 2 above turn off the color and adjust your screen settings for a grey picture, set brightness and contrast to middle settings. # 3 fault read #1 cause if your auto focus will not correct you require service there is a harness connector that looses connection and causes several fualts on the 52" rca's you can repair the fault but if you miss the harness replacement you will do it again.

Lost channels 2 through 52

I think the low band (Channel 2-6)in your tuner is not working. This could be in the tuner itself or in the band switching circuits. Possibly she deleted the low channels or locked them out. Stargazer

What could be wrong?

These old technology sets (rear projectors) are notorious for high voltage problems, and this is probably what you have. RCA is now, sadly, a Chinese junk brand with poor support, but your older unit may still be slightly viable, but not very. Put it into a big truck and take it to a shop. Home service may not be available, or may be nearly worthless. Better yet, get a new TV. I suggest a 1920X1080 LCD model. (Panasonic, Sharp, Sanyo, even Funai or Orion are the best choices) Forget plasma, DLP, or any of the rear projectors. These huge, ugly (and mostly empty) boxes really belong in the Smithsonian, not in your home! When you see the new LCD's, you will forget about your old boat anchor in a heartbeat.
