To resume, you get H02 because your motor is not spinning. Sometimes you solve it pushing it a little bit and unlocking it. If you decide to work on your device remember that laser beams are dangerous for your sight. To resume, you get H02 because your motor is not spinning. Thousands of annoyed customers of Panasonic, Yamaha, and Denon DVD Player owners have encountered the infamous H02 / H07 /H03 erors and many others on thier players or maybe the "No disk" error even though a disk is in the drive. Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again by giving the motor a little "kick start"
Your DVD player is having an issue with the spindle motor (the thing that spins the DVD around). The following solution works for most people, and you should only have to do this once.
Unplug the DVD player.
Take the cover off.
Place a disc on the spindle.
Put a little pressure on the disc (so it doesn't slip) and spin it around a few times.
Remove the disc, reassemble, and plug back in.
Try to play a DVD.
Report back if this solved your problem, or if more troubleshooting is needed.
Hi, This problem is related to OPTICAL BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Two things are involved in this situation. 1- sleg motor start malfunctioning. 2- Optical Lens problem.
In both situations you have to replace the OPTICAL LENS BLOCK. Therefore your DVD need lens replacement. And it would work fine again. Thanks for using fixya.
Hi, this is an unfortunate error. this is referring to the lens assembly. it is unable to scan and read at this moment. it could be because the lens is dead or, it could be that the lens is simply dirty and will need to be cleaned. i would try cleaning it with a non brush type cleaning process. Once cleaned and you still have the same issue, i recommend replacing the lens assembly.
The trouble started with an error to close and open the DVD drawer. It indicated "close" when the drawer was open, or "no disc" when the DVD was inside, and I had to try many times before I get the right response and go on with the procedures. But then it also started playing just a few MP3 tracks and stopping to work, showing again the inserted DVD data. Later H02, and then H07 and STOP. It doesn't even start playing stuffs, movies or MP3 tracks!
The problem with your unit is the "Spindle Motor", this motor is the one that spins the disc so the laser can read it. I sugest you to take your player to a shop, or back for service if the unit still under manufacturer warranty.
This weekend we were watching a movie.
It started to skip. I thought it was a dirty disk, took it out, cleaned
it with a dry cloth and put it back. Now nothing will play.
When
I insert a disk it starts to revolve the machine says reading, two
zeros appear and the it stops. My wife noted a message H02 and the manual says to call for an explanation.
We tried turning the machine off and on and we tried pulling the plug -- no luck. What is the problem?? Jeff
I read about removing the cover and spinning the motor by hand. It was suggested without power. I found that I had to have the unit powered up when I hand-spun the motor, then everything worked perfectly... we'll see for how long.
There is a solution but it takes a little care because the wrong thing touched will give you a shock. Just stay away from the unit near where the power lead enters the unit.
OK. remove the top of the unit, place a disk in the unit press play and gently give the DVD a gentle push in a clockwise direction.
This disk should then get up to speed and start playing. It also unlocks the error. No guarantees with this one some work, some don't. I hope yours does.
