Question about Averatec 3200 Notebook

Sound problem When I am using a video conference with skype my sound is not transmitted I can hear the other party but they can not hear me how do I fix this? I have an Averatec 3200 series laptop

    same -- microphone picks up first second or so then cuts out or breaks up terribly

Is your problem happening only when you use skype messenger? Check if your mic is on mute by double clicking the speaker icon on the taskbar beside the date&time. Check also if there is a driver installed for the audio mic and sound to work by right clicking on My Computer then go to Properties, on the System Properties window click on Hardware tab then click Device Manager. Look if the speaker icon -- the Sound, video and game controllers-- has a Critical icon(a yellow triangle with an exclamation point inside). If there is a Critical Icon then there is a missing driver for your sound. Fix this by installing the driver or just check first if your mic is on mute. Otherwise your mic is busted.

Using medion md 96340 with built-in realtek hd audio sound card. in skype video calls the caller can hear very well but called person does not hear at all. skype echo test says-cannot find sound...


Hi,

Analysis- The call can gear very well - indicates that the speakers / head phones are working fine and the audio drivers are working well
The called person doesnt hear any thing - it indicates that the caller is not able to transmit sound. This can be a microphone related issue. It can also be skype settings issue.

Please answer following questions to analyze the issue better

1. has this ever worked before?
2. Have you tried using the microphone for some other application like recording some audio?
3. Have you tried audio / video calls using some other chat program like gtalk?
4. Are u using any external microphone attached to a head set or is it the laptops inbuilt microphone?

On SKYPE the other party cannot hear me. A message comes "SKYPE needs to access your sound card" what is the problem?


The problem is that your sound card drivers are not installed properly.
Try to re-install your audio drivers using the driver cd, they provided to you and from the compaq website.

New Aspire netbook.. microphone -others hear me as garbled


The performance of Skype is affected by the bandwidth available from your ISP. The video image your are sending and receiving occupy a large part of the information transmitted over the Internet, therefore make sure the video image setting is at a resolution of 320X240 (e-mail size) and if this is still affecting the audio quality to the other person (ie. the voice breaks up) and the video image then switch the video camera off and if sound and video image from the other party is also affecting you, then also get them to switch off their video camera.
Also check the Video and Microphone settings in Skype - Tools - Options etc. Check the correct video camera and microphone has been selected.

in the skype properties choose sound devices and make sure that ur mic you are using through the exact port and sound card are the ones checked and marked by the skype software

V6105NR MICROPHONES DO NOT TRANSMIT


Does your microphone work with other applications.  If you are running windows XP, go to Start>all programs>accessories>entertainment>sound recorder.  Record your self and play it back.  If you can hear yourself, then the issue is with skype.  Make sure you go through the audio setup wizard in skype to get the best preformace out of your microphone.  If no other programs work, then you may need to reinstall the drivers for that microphone and try it again.

Sound went out ? while using yahoo messenger conference


There seems to be a problem with Yahoo messenger. You need to uninstall yahoo messenger because it has control your sound. Once the sound is work you should be able to use the sound in Yahoo Messenger. If not you need reinstall Yahoo Messenger. Do not use any beta sofware from Yahoo.

Toshiba satellite a 200 webcam


When you mean "send videos", did u meant video conferencing with your friends? If that's the case, are you using skype or yahoo messenger to do video conference? Try running the Camera Assistant Software, it's an application by toshiba to view your cam offline (no internet needed). If that doesn't work, try re-installing the software. You can find it here. If you can use that software & can see yourself on the offline webcam tool but not on your third party software, try the "Roll Back Driver" option (Device manager > Imaging Devices > your_webcam > properties > driver > roll back driver)
