HELP - Intel Advanced/AS (Atlantis) Motheboard...

By Cornish - usenet poster

Hi!

I'm trying to install a new TSENG ET6000 card on my Intel Advanced/AS
(or as some preffer to call it, Intel Atlantis) motherboard (Intel
P166 Processor).
The board has a on-board Mach64CT (ATI) graphics accelerator.
When trying to install the new card it conflicts (tried other cards
too... and on different machines... all work perfectly).
I tried but couldn't find any jumpers to disable the onboard graphics
accelerator - is Intel that dumb ???

Please help!
I need help ASAP!

10x.

Yup! they sure are....

There is no way to disable the onboard Mach64 in hardware.

However If you boot into Win95 and put a check mark into the "disable in
this hardware profile" in the Mach64 properties sheet, then you can
remove all mach64 drivers from your system, and then power down and
install your new card.

Yes you will have two references in the display properties but the
mach64 will have a cross alongside it showing it is disabled and should
not conflict.

Works fine for me will a Matrox fitted....
