I don't know which color is which on my clarion dxz735mp

I have a clarion DXZ735mp and i have all the cables but don't know which one is which and don't know what half of them are.... the colors of the cables are as followed....: there are 2 yellow cables that have a lil bubble thingy on them that says 3A and one say 15A... there also a red one tied together with the yellow one that looks like it would be the positive....then there is a orange with a white strip and a brown with no strip tied together... there is then there is a black thinker cord that looks like it would be the ground wire cause it has a screw mount on it... but may possibly be the negative???? then there is to blue cords tied together one has a strip.... then there is 2 white cords, 2 greenish cords, 2 gray cords and 2 purple cords tied together one of each of the colors has a black strip are those the speaker wires??? please help me... thanks

You can download the owners manual from Crutchfield.
This has a wiring diagram on page 36 that shows you what all of the wire's functions are.

I don't think there is anything wrong with how your doing the ID3-tag..
Have you tried pressing the [D] button while playing one of these disc's..
It sounds to me like it's reading the CD title as the ROOT (main) folder.
I found this in the manual:
Displaying CD titles
This unit can display title data for CD-text/MP3/ WMA disc and user titles input with this unit.
1. Press the [D] button to display the title.
2. Each time you press and hold the [D] button for 1 second or longer, the title display changes in the following order:
User title (disc) ? CD-text title (disc) ? Artist name ? CD-text title (track) ? User title (disc)... Folder ? File ? Album TAG ? Artist TAG ? Title TAG ? Folder...

Clarion uses the industry standard wiring colors. Not every unit will have all of the listed wires

SPEAKERS:
White = Left Front +
White/Black = Left Front –

Gray = Right Front +
Gray/Black = Right Front –

Green = Left Rear +
Green/Black = Left Rear-

Violet = Right Rear +
Violet/Black = Right Rear –

POWER/ACCESSORY:
Yellow 14ga = Battery Main/Memory
Yellow 18ga = Battery CeNET Power/Memory
Red = Accessory (ignition on)
Black = Ground
Blue = Antenna Turn On +
Blue/White = Remote Turn On (amps) +
Orange/White = Dimmer
Brown = Phone Mute
Orange or Mint Green= Parking Brake Video Lockout
White/Red = CCD (camera) input instant on +

RCA Cables:
Gray = Front Output
Black = Rear Output
Purple = Non-Fade or Subwoofer Output

Your installation manual is not anywhere to be found since the product you are inquiring about was made 1985-87... however, by deduction, you can figure it out yourself...

You need a Power 12V Constant.
A 12V Switched
A Ground
And Signal Cables.

Reply with the wire colors available to you, and I will tell you what is what.

Yellow is usually constant 12V.
Red is Ususally switched 12V.
Black Is Ground.

RCAs are self explanitory.

If your EQ has HI Level outputs, the color scheme is a little more complicated.

Further, here is a page of the official Clarion standard wirings and their color codes.

Here is a source of the connector for your reference. You don’t need the speaker connector since your unit does not have any built-in amps.

Additionally, if your vehicle’s wiring connections are not of the ISO-standard type or if you just want to verify, please follow this link for the installation adapters you may need to fit your Clarion DRX-9675Z CD Player to your particular vehicle.
