Probably the only solution is to reinstall all the programs (starting with the Operating System).

If your unit came with a Disk, insert this before turning on and then follow the instructions after you have turned it back on.

Good luck.

How to speed up your windows computer(xp,vista,win7)

This has been a question of a million people that "How can i speed up my computer" so today I will share some small infos that will help you to speed up your windows based pc/notebook/laptop with a very small knowledge about your computer.
#Your computer has some beautiful tools built in to help you speed up your pc. The main reason that makes computers slow are basically less memory, running more service/programs at once and some Regestry error which occurs due to various software install and un-install. Regestry errors makes your computer works more and get less work done. so this is what you could do

#1.open run/search box from the start menu nad type in this" cleanmgr" delete/cleanup the files you want to remove/ you don't need. That will give you some extra space to work with.

#2.Download ccleaner which is free software reomended by various computer experts. install and run the software. It will also help you to cleanup some extra space. you can use the regestry option to check for some simple regestry error and fix those.

#3.Open ccleaner and go to "tools">>startup and change the programs you don't want to start when you start your computer for exmaple. skype,yahoo,fax/printer service etc. This will decrease your computers bootup time.

#4.from the start menu open the run/search box and type in "dfrgui". this will defragment your computer and fix some regestry error.

#5. Download any good regestry cleaner. I will recomend Regestry Mechanics a software made by pctool the same sompany makes the best anti spyware " Spyware doctor".It will help you to fix almost all the registry error.

Now restart your computer and you can feel the difference by your self. thank you!

My HP dv5-1125nr has had a fatal error and has completely shut down. How do i do a recovery?

Turn your computer on. Keep pressing the F8 key until the Windows "startup" menu appears. Choose "Safe Mode". Click "Start". Click "All Programs". Click "Accessories". Click "System Tools". Click "System Restore". Select the most-recent "Restore Point" before the problem, and let Windows restore itself to that date/time.

On start up goes in a continuous restart cycle

There is usually a hot key you can press during boot up to start recovery (F11 is typical) This will guide you through the recovery process. I would first check all of your cables going to your hard drive, and also the one going from the hard drive to the motherboard. See if that helps. Best of luck to you!

I updated windows automatic updates and it kept telling me to restart the computer so i postponed it for 4 hours. i then left the computer not shutting it down correctly. now windows will not start...

Turn on PC or restart it if it is running and keep pressing F8 during restart.

On screen that will appear choose to start it in "Safe Mode"

When it starts go to Start - Accessories - System tools - System restore - Restore my computer to an earlier time - choose restore point before the date and time when update was done.

Restoring can take a lot of time so be patient even if you think that progress bar is stuck it is still working. Make sure you choose the restore point older than update time.
