Question about Pioneer DEH-P4000 CD Changer

Won't turn off

Manual says to hold down the source button until unit turns off. I hold it for a full minute and it does not turn off. Pressing the button only changes the source and beeps once. Any ideas?

Hold down the src button on the remote and thin it should turn off normally. It took me an hour to figure it out today.

    Setting the Time
  1. G-Shock watches feature a digital display that is set using the function buttons on the outside of the watch face. To set the time, press and hold the the upper left button until the seconds unit blinks on the display. Reset the seconds to "00" by pressing the lower right button.

    Push the lower left button to switch to the hours unit, which will start blinking. Advance the hour by pressing the lower right button. If you hold down the lower right button, it will advance the hour unit at a higher rate of speed. Once the hour is set, press the lower left button to switch to the minutes unit. As with the hours unit, pressing the lower right button will advance the minutes and holding it down will advance the minutes rapidly.

    Once the time is set, press the upper left button to save the setting.

  3. The backlight on a G-Shock watch has a manual control and an automatic function that will light the face of the watch whenever the alarm, countdown alarm or hourly alarm ring. To use the manual backlight, press the button on the bottom of timepiece. The light will glow for approximately 2 seconds before going out.

    The automatic function is set by pressing and holding the lower right button. When the automatic function is set, an indicator icon will display on the watch face above the seconds unit. You can turn off the automatic backlight function by pressing and holding the lower right button until the icon disappears.

    Note that backlight causes a drain on the battery, and overuse of the backlight will greatly reduce battery life.

  5. The G-Shock has an alarm that emits an audible tone for approximately 20 seconds when it turns on. To set the alarm, press the lower left button until "AL" displays in the upper left corner of the timepiece. Press and hold the upper left button until the hours unit starts to blink. Adjust the hour by pressing the lower right button. As when setting the time, you can advance the hour at a higher rate of speed by holding down the lower right button.

    Once the hour unit is set, press the lower left button to advance to the minutes. Use the lower right button to set the minutes. Follow these same instructions to set the month and day you want the alarm set.

    When the alarm time and date are entered, press the upper left button to save the setting. Push the lower left button three times to return the G-Shock to "Timekeeping" mode.

Setting the clock
Use these instructions to set the ctock.
1 Press SOURCE and hold until the unit turns off.
2 Press AUDIO and hold until clock appears in the display.
3 Press [LEFT ARROW] or [RIGHT ARROW] to select the segment of
the clock display you wish to set.
Pressing [LEFT ARROW] or [RIGHT ARROW] will select one segment of the clock display:
Hour - Minute
As you select segments of the clock display the segment selected will blink.
4 Press [UP ARROW] or [DOWN ARROW] to set the clock.
Pressing [UP ARROW] will increase the selected hour or
minute. Pressing V will decrease the selected hour or minute.
¤ To cancel clock settings, press BAND.
¤ You can also cancel clock settings by holding down AUDIO until the unit turns off.

How do I set the clock on my Pioneer DEH-1900MP Head Unit


Turn the unit off with SOURCE, then push and hold SOURCE until it powers up and the hour flashes... Then use the up/down directional buttons to adjust hour, and left/right directional to move to minute.

How do you set the clock? Mine is an hour ahead and I can't figure out how to set it back. I don't have a manual either...


1. hold the source button until the radio turns off.

2. then hold the audio button until a menu is displayed, which is normal the clock settings first, toggle through the menu by pressing the audio button again

3. use the arrows to change the time

Pioneer deh-1500 same problem i see posted from someone else`


Press SOURCE, and hold until the unit turns off.
Press AUDIO repeatedly until clock appears in the display.
Press < or > to select the segment of the clock display you wish to set.
Pressing < or > will select one segment of the clock display
Hour - minute.
As you select segments of the clock display, the segment selected will blink.
Press v or ^ to set the clock.
Pressing ^ will increase the selected hour or minute. Pressing v will decrease the selected hour or minute.
To cancel clock settings, press BAND.
You can also cancel clock settings by holding down AUDIO until the unit turns off.

Time setting


Make sure unit is off by pressing and holding the 'Source' button. Wait 3 seconds, and then press and hold the 'Source' button. Do Not Release the button! A display reading "Initial" will show. Then use the arrow buttons surrounding the 'Source' to set clock. The 'Function' button isn't involved, dispite what the manuel states.
